A 386-Unit Apartment Complex Tops Out In The Woodlands
Two Lakes Edge, an eight-story community, topped out on Lake Woodlands Tuesday.
The 386-unit property is the second multifamily building in Hughes Landing, a 79-acre master-planned community in The Woodlands. Construction is slated to wrap in spring 2020 with pre-leasing to start by the end of this year.
“The topping out at Two Lakes Edge in Hughes Landing is an exciting milestone as we move one step closer to opening Two Lakes Edge," The Howard Hughes Corp. National Multifamily Asset Manager Crystal Bledsoe said in a release. "The distinctive elements and attention to details and design, surrounded by beautiful lake views within a walkable setting, will all help shape the experience that is Two Lakes Edge."
The luxury development features average unit sizes of 997 SF including micro-units and one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. The upscale finishes include quartz countertops, simulated wood flooring, stainless appliances, walk-in closets, 10-foot ceilings and an in-unit washer and dryer.
All units come with the Dwello Home Automation Technology package, which allows the tenant to control the door lock, thermostat and lights via a smartphone or verbally through Amazon’s Alexa voice-controlled platform.
On-site amenities will range from a sports lounge with a multi-sport simulator, a sky lounge, a coworking area with meeting space and private offices, a wine room, individual storage units and a fitness center with a large yoga room.
With views of Lake Woodlands, the outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool, a European-style courtyard with an outdoor fireplace and an outdoor fitness lawn. Residents can also enjoy free kayaks and bikes at Lake Woodlands.
Dallas-based developer The Howard Hughes Corp. is constructing Two Lakes Edge as a part of Hughes Landing, which includes retail; dining at Restaurant Row; an Embassy Suites by Hilton; Lakes Edge Boat House; outdoor art sculptures; Class-A office space; and One Lakes Edge, the first multifamily project within the community, which is 99% occupied.
Preston Partnership is the architect of Tow Lakes Edge, and Hoar Construction is the construction manager.
