Breaking News: Woodlands' Newest Community; Multifamily Monday

Houston Multifamily

Bisnow just learned Alliance Residential is gearing up its fourth Woodlands-area development in 12 months (one for each season, so no climates get jealous)--a 273-unit garden-style community called Broadstone Harmony.

Alliance Residential just purchased 8.7 acres at the Grand Parkway and Rayford. ARA VP Tom Dosch brokered the land transaction and tells us Alliance could break ground by the end of the year. The developer's other three communities are west of Sawdust, but Tom says it likes the change of pace because this site is a reverse commute to The Woodlands/Exxon. Pictured, Tom and his wife Jackie just got back from a mission trip with Children’s Cup in Swaziland, Africa.

Tom says there aren’t many sites available in the area, which is very hot right now. That leg of the Grand Parkway will deliver in a few months, and master-planned communities Harmony and Benders Landing are both right there. Tom sold a site across the street from Broadstone Harmony last year to Watermark (that multifamily community is under construction now), HEB is breaking ground adjacent to Alliance’s site, Walmart will also be kicking off a development, and a number of other small retailers are coming soon.
