Lower Oil Prices Benefit Kirby Collection

Kirby Collection

Thor Equities is preparing to break ground on the Kirby Collection, a major mixed-use project, the Houston Business Journal reports. It’ll include a 199-unit residential high-rise, a 210k SF Class-A office building and 67k SF of retail. Thor’s Jack Bousquet told the HBJ that falling oil prices were a positive rather than a negative for the developer—he thinks it’ll cut out competition and lower construction costs. The Kirby Collection will break ground in April or May and deliver in Q3 2017. It’s being designed by Richard Keating and Kirksey.
