After months of narrowing down options, Crystal Lagoons has chosen Houston-based developer Land Tejas as its partner in bringing two lagoons to the Houston area. The partnership will bring the lagoon technology to Balmoral in Northeast Houston and another to be announced in the near future, the Houston Business Journal reports. Construction on the 1.5-acre lagoon at Balmoral will begin this summer and is expected to be open in early 2018. The undisclosed Land Tejas Houston community will have an 8.5-acre lagoon; construction is expected to begin by the end of the year. Land Tejas has 10 Houston-area communities, including Balmoral and four others listed as coming soon on its website. [HBJ]
