West Houston is buzzing with talk of the newly completed "missing mile" of Park Row. Business and community leaders came together to celebrate the completion of the major thoroughfare, which will ease traffic for workers at Houston's largest corporations.
Wolff Cos. and The Energy Corridor District highlighted the grand opening with an all-star panel of business and government leaders. Park Row is home to ConocoPhillips, Worley Parsons and Mustang Wood Group, as well as medical institutions like MD Anderson, Texas Children’s Hospital and Houston Methodist. Now that Park Row is fully complete, the thousands of workers will enjoy much easier traffic flow.

MHW Real Estate’s Jonathan Sellers and Jeff Williams closed the sale of 7.2 acres at Fry Road and West Little York in Katy. Suzy Smith with Legend Homes Corp. repped the seller. Retail and self-storage projects are planned for the site.

EDGE Capital Markets’ Burdette Huffman brokered the sale of Imperial Oaks Shopping Center, an 11K SF multi-tenant center at 2319 Rayford Road in Spring.

MHW Real Estate’s Jeff Williams closed 0.4 acres at 1018 Rayford Road in Spring. Williams repped the seller, and Goldrich Properties' Donald Saunders and Bailey Banks repped the buyer.

Trivanta’s Bob Moorhead repped Baker Katz in selling 30K SF of land, including a 7K SF building, to Advance Auto Parts. The property is at the intersection of FM 1960 and Aldine Westfield.

DCT Industrial acquired 13.2 acres near the Port of Houston for a 222K SF built-to-suit for DHL Supply Chain USA. The site is adjacent to two existing DCT Industrial buildings on SH 225. DCT Industrial and DHL’s La Porte campus will total 535K SF.

LEASES
The Retail Connection’s Kendall Ibsen and Steve Greenberg repped the SM Center Conroe in leasing 5,200 SF to EAD Vietnamese Restaurant in Shenandoah. Apogee Properties' Ann Tran repped the tenant.

DEVELOPMENT
CBRE and UBS Financial have initiated a $10M renovation at 5718 Westheimer in Houston. The redesign includes upgrades to the lobby and common areas, a new conference center, expansive fitness center and a two-acre green space adjacent to the building.
HIRES/PROMOTIONS
Randy Elkins and E.D. Lester joined AmTrust Title Insurance Co. Elkins will serve as managing director/counsel of Texas operations while Lester will serve as vice president of Texas operations.
