Shake Shack Comes To Houston

Consider your New Year’s resolution to eat healthier officially broken: Shake Shack is coming to Houston. 

A spokesperson for the buzzworthy burger joint has confirmed to the Houston Business Journal that a new store will be opening in the Galleria Mall in late 2016.

Details are scarce, but the company’s existing storefronts are between 3k and 3.5k SF and typically have outdoor seating.

To the delight of burger fans, rumors of a Houston Shake Shack began flying last year when Delaware corporate filings revealed the company was planning a Bayou City debut as part of the Galleria’s renovation and expansion project.

Shake Shack has 66 locations.The Houston store will be the third in Texas. [HBJ]
