Real Estate Lovebirds

JLL SVP Jessica Ochoa and LyondellBasell real estate manager Drew Kelson met while both were working at CBRE. Jessica was doing office landlord rep and Drew was an office tenant rep, and she says they did a good job of remaining professional and keeping the relationship discreet. They got married in November 2013, a few months after they both left CBRE. Her favorite part of being in the same industry: They're able to lean on each other for guidance and insight, and it's great to vent to someone who gets it. The con: They can't walk into any building of any sort (especially while traveling) without geeking out, real estate style, looking for fire exits, critiquing finishes and analyzing access and location. Jessica and Drew love to travel and just returned from a ski trip to Lake Tahoe. Their two daughters keep them on their toes--eight-month-old Lola just started crawling and 14-year-old Mia can't wait to drive. Jessica says those two keep a steady stream of sweet and sassy going!

Kirksey's David Dalton and Kate Sharp are a newly-minted power couple--David just popped the question over Christmas. The two are both on the interiors team at Kirksey and met at the firm about four years ago. David tells us they sat next to each other but barely spoke until after Kate moved farther away. They attended a couple of vendor events and got to know each other and started (secretly) dating. He says it's great having someone in the industry to speak to during the busy times, especially when they were both studying for their licenses. Their relationship just hit a serious snag though, David says things were sailing along until they had to pick a photo and send us some info for this story. ("Thanks, Bisnow.")
