With over 15 years of experience in acquisitions, renovations and dispositions, Barrett Sigmund has excelled at executing on multi-family opportunities in the Western United States and specifically the Pacific Northwest.

As President of RISE Properties, Barrett brings his expertise to the continued profitable growth of RISE’s portfolio. At RISE, Barrett is responsible for portfolio strategy, including acquisitions, financing, dispositions, renovations, asset management and risk mitigation in the United States.

Barrett most recently served as Senior Director of Investments at Security Properties, where he led the very successful investments business unit and more than tripled the acquisitions volume—from approximately $250 million to $800 million in the three years from 2014 to 2016. His team typically had more than $100 million in ongoing renovation work taking place at any given time. Over Barrett’s career, he has completed over $3 billion dollars of transactions and utilizes the knowledge and relationships gained through that activity to maximize value for his investors and partners.

Barrett holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington’s Michael G. Foster School of Business, as well as a Certificate in Real Estate from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Communication from Allegheny College.

Joe leads the firm’s acquisition and capital development efforts. Utilizing his background in brokerage and land use economics, Joe combines a clear market vision with strong transaction instincts to guide clients and partners in creating effective real estate investment opportunities. His ability to analyze market fundamentals and build financial models appropriate to a wide variety of product types allows him to successfully lead risk assessment and negotiate deal structures beneficial to LUP and our partners.

Kristin Ryan a Partner in barrientos RYAN. She is a multi-family and civic project developer focused on building inspired places that promote the growth of the city of Seattle. Ms. Ryan is an astute and experienced developer having managed development projects totaling over $400mm in housing, medical offices, schools and theaters over the course of her career. She was previously Director of the Northwest Division of Jonathan Rose Companies, directing the firm’s acquisition, development and consulting activities on the west coast, and managing their west coast portfolio.

Kristin has provided development advisory services to many non-profit and governmental agencies seeking to use multi-layered financing approaches to implement their projects. She specializes in implementing complex projects that serve communities with great places to live and work.

Mr. Meyers is currently the Sr. Vice President, Project Management with Madison Marquette. He oversees Madison Marquette’s Northwest portfolio of projects including Pacific Place, A specialty retail center in the heart of downtown Seattle. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Meyers has been a pivotal influence on urban development throughout the Seattle metropolitan region. He is a graduate of Washington State University School of Architecture and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the American Institute of Architects, and the Urban Land Institute.

Since joining Abbott in 2003, Doug has been a key player in many of the company’s ongoing business development, operations, growth, and performance efforts. An ardent champion of Abbott’s core values, he empowers teams to incorporate our guiding principles throughout their day-to-day activities. With a construction career that spans over three decades, Doug frequently shares his wealth of knowledge and perspective at various industry speaking engagements. He is also committed to supporting local communities—from implementing Abbott’s Safety for a Cause program to allocating resources to assist many charitable causes such as Food Lifeline and the Mary Bridge Children’s Foundation. Doug received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Don is an architect/planner who leads many of GGLO’s largest and most complex master planning projects. He is committed to practicing urban design at the highest level of quality, strategic value and local sensitivity. He has a passion for creating walkable communities, livable density and vibrant commercial districts, and an unmatched talent for finding unique, placed-based solutions that unlock the greatest potential of each site.

With over 20 years of experience, Don has led award-winning planning and design efforts throughout the western United States and western Canada, including downtown physical and strategic plans, neighborhood-scaled residential development, “strip mall to town center” transformations, transit-oriented development, streetscapes, and multi-family housing. He has facilitated many successful public design workshops and is especially skilled at working with diverse stakeholder groups.

Most recently, Don led the design team who worked with Simon Property Group to complete the master plan for the redevelopment plan for Northgate Mall in Seattle.
