Why This Matters

As San Francisco and the greater Bay Area continue to evolve there are many questions surrounding how the hotel and leisure industry will continue to innovate. Travelers both foreign and domestic are constantly on the prowl for good deals and unique experiences, thus forcing those that invest, develop and build hotel & leisure properties to come up with new ideas and experience that will attract the masses.

San Francisco has a rich history of hotel development and recently several hotel brands have begun to think outside the box. Brands such as Marriot and Virgin are some of the few that are leading the charge. Bisnow’s Julie Littman goes on to say, “Both Marriott and Virgin Hotels are expanding within the Bay Area and are bringing different hotel brands to serve a wide variety of travelers. Marriott has 30 hotels in operation in the Bay Area and 12 in the pipeline. Virgin Hotels has two hotels in the works. The Bay Area offers hoteliers qualities not seen in many other regions.”

The temperate weather, surrounding attractions and the regions historical sites will be constant draws for tourists, but hotel brands and flags alike know they need to begin asking themselves how can we stand out from the pack! Join us as we do a hospitality and leisure deep dive. Questions about the event content? Please email Chris.Wainwright@Bisnow.com
