Notable Projects, Assets & Deals:
UCSD: Pepper Canyon East: 20-acre site on the west campus adjacent to the Light Rail Transit station. The District would be built in multiple phases and would include new student beds to expand access to the benefits of below market on-campus housing. Pepper Canyon East District will remove the existing housing and build approximately 6,000 beds, a hotel, food and beverage, recreation, and amenity spaces. The first project, District Site Development Concept and Phase 1, is in pre-design to complete the District visioning. Once the District is planned, Phase 1 is targeted to deliver beds with associated amenities in fall 2030.
SDSU: Evolve Student Housing: A transformative, multi-phase construction project that will provide enhanced and financially competitive on-campus housing options for students at San Diego State University.

McCullough Landscape Architecture: SDCCD Student Housing - A transformative 284-unit student housing complex at San Diego City College, located on the block bounded by 16th, 17th, B, and C Streets. As one of California’s first community college projects funded through the Affordable Student Housing Program, the development will provide below-market housing and critical support services for low-income students, veterans, and former foster youth ///// USD Presidio Terrace Apartments - The University of San Diego (USD), in collaboration with The Michaels Organization and Carrier Johnson + Culture, is embarking on a transformative journey to expand student housing on campus, and McCullough is honored to be part of this visionary team. It will be a groundbreaking 10-level graduate student housing community spanning approximately 3.5 acres, designed with around 320 units aimed to house about 700 graduate students ///// SDSU Mission Valley Public Art Master Plan - San Diego State University (SDSU) is advancing a bold vision for its Mission Valley campus, where art and placemaking are central to the development’s identity. As part of this transformative expansion, McCullough is contributing to the Public Art Master Plan, establishing a dynamic framework that integrates permanent, temporary, and interactive installations throughout the district ///// Mesa College Performing Arts Center – San Diego Community College District, as part of the Measure HH campus modernization initiative, is advancing a new Performing Arts Center and Parking Structure at San Diego Mesa College to support its growing theater, music, and dance programs. Designed by HGA, the approximately 83,000 SF project includes 54,000 ASF of new construction built into the north hillside near the I4 Student Services Center. The facility will feature a main stage theater, instructional labs, support spaces, administrative offices, and an active plaza that connects the complex to campus life. The project team also includes PCL Construction, Coffman Engineers, Latitude 33 Planning & Engineering, and MA Engineers. Serving as landscape architect, McCullough is leading the design of the plaza, pathways, signage, and hillside-integrated landscape improvements that align with the college’s Master Plan—enhancing accessibility, strengthening campus connectivity, and expanding event capacity.
Core Spaces: Bought building near UCSD, did a bunch of water and energy efficiency work, with the key highlight of a monster solar array. The array will power 80%+ of the buildings total power. The building roof panels power the common electric and parking garage array powers the tenant units. Core Spaces first building selling power to tenants
