Josh Goldman leads San Diego and Orange County development at Gemdale USA and is responsible for executing the business plan for those markets.

Prior to joining Gemdale USA, Mr. Goldman held various senior roles for Brookfield Properties, Rouse Properties, DDR, and The Rappaport companies. In those roles, Josh developed well over a billion dollars of product across multiple asset classes. He has deep experience in multiple high barrier to entry markets.

Mr. Goldman holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland and is an active member of ULI.

Over the course of his career, Matt has actively led and participated in multidiscipline teams executing conceptual, preliminary and detailed design efforts and has been heavily involved in construction, start-up and commissioning/ validation support. He actively participates in project execution visioning, planning and scheduling for large-scale capital projects. Matt currently oversees design operations for CRB’s Western Region, consisting of four offices in Carlsbad, Orange County, Los Angeles and Oakland. In his previous role, Matt started and ran CRB’s Maryland office, successfully growing the office to a team of 50-plus design and construction professionals over a five-year period.

Trevor Wells, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is an Associate Vice President and Principal in the Science + Technology practice in San Diego. With more than 25 years of architectural experience, Trevor brings expertise in the design and planning of interdisciplinary physical sciences and engineering environments, biocontainment laboratories, vivaria, cleanrooms, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. As a licensed Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional, he implements his experience in planning, interpreting, organizing, and managing projects through all phases of development, including establishing and monitoring budgets, managing the project team, and preparing schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Trevor will focus on growing the firm’s life science client base and design expertise in research facilities throughout southern California. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.

Martin L. Togni is a partner in the San Diego office of Allen Matkins with a practice focusing primarily on Life Sciences, representing a variety of landlords and tenants in the development and leasing of Life Science and Biotech projects. He has successfully completed major leasing transactions totaling more than 40 million square feet in California, the Midwest, and East Coast over the past 25 years, representing some of the nation's leading real estate and end-user companies. Martin also represents a wide variety of clients in the acquisition, disposition, development, financing and ground leasing of shopping centers, industrial projects, office buildings and other commercial and mixed-use projects throughout the country

Howard Kozloff is the Founder & CEO at Noblespace, a real estate development platform serving emerging science and technology businesses with flexible work and lab facilities. Noblespace offers customizable spaces that complement and enhance surrounding business, research and educational institutions. Especially for sectors with unique infrastructure or compliance requirements, the platform helps companies optimize costs while maintaining agility to scale when ready. Kozloff is also co-founder of HATCHspaces, and lives in Los Angeles where he is active with a number of youth recreation and education programs.

Mr. Divinsky joined Stockdale Capital Partners in 2019. He is responsible for asset management with an emphasis on commercial office and mixed-use developments, new acquisitions and existing assets throughout major West Coast markets. Mr. Divinsky joined Stockdale after nearly 25 years in development and asset management with Worthe Real Estate Group in Santa Monica, California, well-known for owning and managing institutional-grade high profile media and technology focused assets. Mr. Divinsky is a former Chairman of the Board of BOMA - Greater Los Angeles and has served on the Boards of BOMA-CAL, the Burbank Chamber of Commerce and the Red Cross Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness. Currently, Mr. Divinsky serves as a Board Member of the Downtown San Diego Partnership, the Horton Plaza Theatres Foundation, the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate and member of the Biocom Facilities Committee. He holds a dual Master’s Degree from the University of Southern California in Business Administration and Real Estate Development along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cal State University Northridge.

Enrique Ceniceros has over 31 years of experience as an architect and laboratory planner, and more than 11 years of experience as a science and technology leader. His attention to detail and technical expertise makes him a natural leader for design teams, consultants, and owner user groups alike. His clients include universities, biopharmaceutical facilities, R&D laboratories, developers, aerospace facilities, and manufacturing groups. Enrique is passionate about the Life Sciences industry and its growth in the Greater Los Angeles Area and all of Southern California. He spearheaded the creation of the International Institute of Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) in Los Angeles and serves as the chapter’s first president; he believes the life science community needs more platforms to network and collaborate. He was also named one of San Diego's Life Sciences top 50 professionals in 2022 and 2023.

An associate partner with Syska Hennessy Group, Robert manages staff and projects across the multi-discipline MEP services. Robert has extensive experience with laboratory and life sciences projects including spaces for ISO cleanroom pharma manufacturing, electron microscopy, mass spectroscopy, BSL-3 containment, NMR environments, neuropharmacology and electrophysiology. He’s worked on projects with The Scripps Research Institute, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, The Burnham Institute, Pfizer and Genentech. Robert’s depth of experience in both design and project management enhances collaboration with owners, architects, and contractors.

With over 30 years of industry experience and 3 million sq. ft. of life science projects completed, Jamie Prevost leads Skyline's Life Science practice area. Jamie leverages his expertise to assist clients during the due diligence process by providing strategic and collaborative preconstruction insight. Since the early 2000’s, Jamie has led the construction of 60+ labs and over a dozen adaptive re-use projects. During his leadership of San Diego based Prevost Construction, Jamie grew revenues from $10million to $100M before being acquired by Skyline Construction in 2022. With offices in San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, and now San Diego, Jamie leverages established project teams and existing customer relationships to serve the surging demand for life science construction expertise. With his knowledge of the unique constraints associated with adaptive reuse and traditional life science tenant improvements, clients often lean on Jamie and his team for feasibility studies during the site selection process to provide reliable cost and scheduling information for major redevelopment efforts. With an emphasis on lean construction techniques and a partnership mindset, project teams under Jamie’s leadership deliver superior results with an emphasis on providing a best-in-class customer experience.

Jose A. Gomez is provost and executive vice president at Cal State LA, ranked number one in the nation for the upward mobility of its students. He assumed the role of Cal State LA's chief academic officer on July 1, 2019, in addition to his duties as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Gomez is a proud product of the communities served by Cal State LA. He was raised in La Puente, in the San Gabriel Valley. A first-generation college student, he enrolled at Cal Poly Pomona through the California State University System’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). There, he served as student body president and chair of the 23-campus Cal State Student Association while earning his bachelor’s degree in sociology. Gomez, who was named a CSU Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program Scholar, went on to earn master’s degrees in political science and public administration, as well as a Ph.D. in political science, from the University of Southern California, where he was a President Steven B. Sample Fellow. In April 2019, he received Cal Poly Pomona’s distinguished alumnus award.

Throughout his career, Gomez has been an advocate for greater access to higher education. In his 10 years at Cal State LA, he has led major initiatives to expand opportunities for students. These include Cal State LA’s downtown campus, which opened in 2016; Cal State LA’s Prison Graduation Initiative, California’s first bachelor’s degree program taught in state prison; and Cal State LA BioSpace, a regional bioscience collaboration that will include a university incubator to provide laboratories, equipment, and support for students and emerging entrepreneurs.

Gomez also helped develop Achieve LA, a collaboration with the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, to create pathways to higher education for youth in underserved communities and to support youth and their families through initiatives promoting civic engagement and academic enrichment.

Before joining Cal State LA in 2009, Gomez served as higher education adviser to the president pro tempore of the California Senate and as executive director of the California Educational Facilities Authority, the state’s higher education facilities financing agency. He also held senior positions in the California Department of Justice and the state Treasurer’s Office.

Niklas Bandak is President of Bandak Project Management, Inc. (BPM). Nik has been involved in the real estate and AEC industry for over 10-years. Over the years Nik has specialized in successfully navigating and completing complex and unique projects serving the Corporate Office, Life Science and Biotechnology, Education, Legal, Healthcare, including Senior Care, Housing, including Multifamily and Affordable Housing, and Manufacturing markets.

Mr. Gilbert is a Principal and Partner at GMC Commissioning, Inc. His industry experience includes over 25 years in the commercial building design and construction industry, specializing in life sciences, cGMP/Pharma manufacturing, OSHPD/HCAI, and higher education projects, with a focus on commissioning.

Mr. Gilbert has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, is a licensed mechanical engineer in the state of California, is a LEED AP, and has also been a guest speaker on sustainable building design, Title-24, and energy modeling.

Mr. Gilbert has provided commissioning solutions in HVAC, emergency power systems, process systems with an emphasis in reliability, maintainability, optimum system operation, and energy and water efficiency. Leading edge technologies and systems applied to high-performance buildings are some of his favorite challenges.

Frank carries more than ten years of electrical engineering and MEP project management experience. He is a hands-on leader engaged in all engineering decisions and manages each program within his purview. Frank is involved in all phases of construction document preparation, including schematic and design development services, comprehensive electrical specifications, energy compliance documentation, estimating, and construction field support. In addition, Frank contributes to a wide range of projects, including corporate, laboratories, commercial, and healthcare, which has cultivated a deep understanding of all aspects of electrical design and various project delivery types, including design-build and design-assist.

Aimee Fields is a seasoned health and wellness professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. She currently serves as an HCP Account Executive at Technogym USA. She collaborates with various clients, including leading corporations, interior design and architecture firms, real estate agencies, healthcare facilities, universities, and government organizations. Her primary focus is to help these organizations implement wellness programs and optimize their teams' health and wellbeing through Technogym's comprehensive products and solutions.

Aimee's commitment to driving positive transformation and long-term success for each of her clients is evident in the tailor-made wellness solutions she provides. Mr. Thomas was the Managing Partner of Thomas Advisory Group LLC. TAG is a full-service real estate development, brokerage and advisory firm specializing in commercial, office, industrial, hotel and resort development projects. Mr. Thomas was also The Lead Acquisition and Development Consultant in California for Urban America (UA), a real estate investment equity fund that has purchased over 1 billion dollars in assets. UA’s main focus is acquiring and developing real estate in urban and underserved markets.

As a seasoned industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in acquisition, development and management activities related to a variety of development projects, he has helped the Urban America Fund raise $400 million dollars from institutional pension funds like Calpers. Mr. Thomas’ experience on the fund-raising side with investors (pension funds, insurance companies and banks) for Fund II, will bode well for the any BioMed campus. His ability to bring institutional capital is a value added to the BioMed Development team, along with his over 30 years of development and construction management.

Mr. Thomas entered the BioMed space because of his knowledge of the need for new multi facility campus’ throughout California, as well as his desire to invest in projects that will affect change in the community. This was over twelve years ago when he began his partnership with Dr. Phil Hart on the USC/LA County Biomed campus development Request for proposals.

Mr. Thomas believes the sound fiscal investments can be made in the inner city & underserved communities and even suburban markets can be combined with education, medicine, technology and job creation. The proposed BioMed campus in Los Angles is an excellent opportunity for banks, pension funds, and insurance companies to begin to reinvest into a needy community through a BioMed Fund and/or directly into the project as a direct investment.

Currently The BioMed Development Group is looking at working with the City of Phoenix in the continued development of a downtown BioMed campus for Thomas’ alma mater ASU (Arizona State University). He was the first African American varsity athlete to letter in a major sport and get a degree in construction engineering. He sits on the Board of Directors for the City of Riverside Chamber of Commerce EasthillsDivision, he also is on the Advisory Board for the Sam Williams Foundation, a youth outreach program.

throughout all phases of a project life cycle. Kevin’s unique perspective, as both a

general contractor and owner has been key to ensuring his team’s ability to maximize

value during the preconstruction phase while delivering an exceptional client

experience.

Kevin is a board member of the Southern California Development Forum and President

of the South-Central California AACE. He holds a BS in Quantity Surveying and a MS in

Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

Valerie is a dedicated, experienced project and life science thought leader with over 20 years of experience delivering technically complex facilities for private, non-profit and federal clients. She is a design-oriented collaborator, that directs HDR’s work from project conception through project completion. She thrives at artfully balancing project goals, budgets and schedules while exceeding client expectations and enjoys the challenges that come with delivering complex building projects on time within strict budgetary constraints.

Her experience includes many project types from research and development to education and cultural facilities and includes interiors, base building architecture, urban design and master planning. Valerie has spoken at industry conference and is a thought leadership contributor to lab design publications.
