Steve La Terra helped launch TerraLane Communities (“TLC”) in 2019 and was the first CEO of the company. He is responsible for all aspects of company’s operations and is a member of the Investment Committee. He focuses his efforts on the evaluation of new opportunities, portfolio management and investor/partner relations. Prior to joining the company, Mr. La Terra was the Managing Director of Meyers Research, where he was the lead analyst on horizontal apartments opportunities throughout the US for builders, developers and capital providers. Mr. La Terra’s background includes senior executive and principal-level positions within real estate private equity, land banking and lot development companies including Acacia Capital, Apex Capital, Land Advisors Capital and Paradigm Private Equity Holdings. Mr. La Terra earned his finance degree from San Diego State University and his development certificate from the Master of Real Estate Development program at Arizona State University. He is a former Chair of the Arizona District Council of the Urban Land Institute as well as ULI’s Residential Neighborhood Council at the National Level. He is currently the co-chair of the Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference Land and Capital Conference.

Jami Schulman

Jami Schulman is an industry leader in the single family rental space building vertically

integrated acquisition and operating platforms for the past 12 years and has completed

two private to public platform sales. She is the co-founder of Sparrow, a boutique high

touch tech forward asset and property management platform that operated in 10

markets across the sunbelt and southwest.

Prior to founding Sparrow, Jami was COO of HavenBrook Homes and Executive Vice

President of Corporate Operations at Progress Residential. Prior to Progress, Jami was

the COO and an executive member of the startup team for Beazer Pre-Owned Rental

Homes, which was sold to American Homes 4 Rent.

Jami’s real estate experience also includes management positions in land development

and homebuilding companies. Jami was the COO of Communities Southwest, a privately

held residential and commercial development company with operations in Arizona and

California. Jami led the company’s acquisition, underwriting, entitlement and

negotiation of complex multi-party development agreements, asset management, and

sales and marketing of over $300M of residential land assets including 5,500 acres of

planned communities and over 2,200 finished lots.

Jami also was corporate counsel for Del Webb and Pulte Homes where she was involved

in the acquisition, entitlement, and development of six master-planned communities

throughout the Southwest. Jami began her career as a water, environmental and real

estate lawyer in private practice.

Jami received a BS in economics from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a

JD from the University of Kansas School of Law.

Scott Maddux serves as the President of Sunstone Two Tree. He was previously a senior vice president at Oaktree Capital in Los Angeles focused on real estate debt and equity investment opportunities. Before joining Oaktree, he worked on the real estate acquisitions team at the Blackstone Group in New York City. Before that, he worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs where he advised real estate companies on M&A and capital raising transactions. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in accounting from Brigham Young University.

Jared’s solid engineering and development background, combined with more than 15 years of experience in the field, allow him to simultaneously manage numerous projects from land acquisition through forward planning, construction and turn-over. NexMetro has more than 55 projects in multiple markets across the nation either built, under construction or in development, with a robust pipeline of projects in new and existing markets.

Jared gained invaluable development experience managing some of the largest master plans as land project manager for Pulte Homes. Prior to that, he served as a land development project manager for CVL Consultants, where his work with some of the country’s largest homebuilders provided him with key knowledge on planning, the entitlement process and site design. Jared holds a BS degree in civil engineering from Arizona State University, and is a registered professional engineer and AMA member.

Daniel's background includes a variety of multifamily project types, with 25 years of specialization in Southern California and current projects in the Central Valley and Arizona. He currently teaches a class in the Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program at the University of Southern California as an adjunct professor and is active in many industry associations.

Mr. Scales’ experience has concentrated in California, Arizona and Texas as Principal in charge of multifamily, single family and mixed-use projects. Greg Garrison is VP of Construction for HercuTech, the manufacturer of HercuWall®. Greg joined the HercuTech Team in early 2015, which was a critical time for bringing the HercuWall product to market. Greg assisted with the final steps of product development, product testing, obtaining HercuWall Code Reports and the integration of the product in thousands of residential dwelling units.

Greg is an Arizona native and fifth generation Construction Manager. Prior to HercuTech, Greg spent 12+ years with a CM focus in the Commercial Construction space. He has a wide range of project experience from high level custom homes, facilities services projects, ground up warehousing, aircraft hangars and a variety of Department of Defense work.

Greg has integrated an array of building materials in these projects but was always looking for a scalable solution for a high performing Thermal Envelope System. Shortly after meeting the founder of HercuTech, Greg had the opportunity to join the leadership team. This opportunity allowed him to bring his passion of building better with concrete, steel, and a high performing envelope to all construction market segments through the HercuWall System.

George Maravilla is a Partner at Tower Capital, LLC who spearheads its Equity and Development platform. Maravilla joined the firm in 2018, quickly establishing himself as a key member of the company and he has been instrumental in the rapid growth of Tower Capital’s industry-leading Build-to-Rent (BTR) team.

Maravilla has emerged as a national leader within the BTR sector. The capital advisor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience financing this complex product type to the table for both developers and lenders. He has firmly established himself as a leader of the BTR finance team and is repeatedly counted on to help developers bring their BTR projects to life.

Tower Capital has closed more than $1.5 billion in BTR construction financing and joint venture equity encompassing more than 7,000 units across nearly 40 Build-to-Rent communities. The firm’s pipeline of projects spans multiple states including in Arizona, Texas, Alabama, North Carolina, Colorado, and Indiana.

Prior to joining Tower Capital, Maravilla spent 14 years at DMB Associates, Inc., a respected real estate development firm, where he most recently served as Director of Finance. The company specializes in large scale master planned communities, golf courses, multifamily, office, retail and mixed-use projects throughout Arizona, California, Hawaii, and Utah. He held responsibility for managing project level financial risk and created sophisticated financial models that were utilized to establish the appropriate development strategy at DMB. Maravilla also created long-term capital plans, project life cycle capitalization, deal structuring, and oversaw investor/partner reporting. He also evaluated new opportunities in a wide range of residential and commercial asset classes having underwritten more than $700 million in potential acquisitions and vertical developments during his time at DMB.

He is actively involved with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Maravilla earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Arizona State University with an emphasis in computer information systems and philosophy.

Prior to Crescent Communities, Tony was a senior executive at FirstKey Homes, Cerberus Capital Management’s investment platform to acquire and manage scattered-site single-family rental properties. During his tenure at FirstKey, Tony helped stabilize, scale and optimize the business, growing the portfolio to over 28,000 homes and executing over $4.5 billion of acquisition, disposition and securitization transactions through his involvement with FirstKey’s investment committee, asset management and strategy functions.

Prior to FirstKey Homes, Tony was an investment banker in the real estate, gaming and lodging group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he executed over $16 billion of M&A, equity and debt transactions. Tony started his career at Deloitte where he advised companies across various sectors on finance transformation, capital markets accounting and M&A integration.

Tony earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech.

Lance is an entrepreneur at heart and in 2003 he became a shareholder and president of Elite Communities. Under his direction the Phoenix-based homebuilding company was named one of the fastest growing in the U.S. by Builder Magazine. Lance is an entrepreneur at heart and has invested in a variety of business entities, but his primary focus is providing great service to Lifestyle Homes clients and doing so profitably.
