Rodrigo Cunha is a tenured and well-respected business developer with a career denoted by industry
trendsetter abilities, strong market positioning, deal structuring and negotiating acumen, and
consultative and operational leadership talents that facilitate the seamless integration of new ventures
into a strategic corporate environment. Mr. Cunha currently performs as a critical executive level team
member and major shareholder for Magic Development’s niche luxury resort development projects.
Most notably, he founded Magic Village Resort, an $80MM condo style luxury living community with
180 townhomes and personalized hotel services situated almost exclusively in the Disney complex. As a
development team director and project mentor, he provides organization-wide vision, strategy, and
execution, synergizes interdepartmental operations, evaluates and recommends investments, and has
spearheaded critical strategies to raise capital and drive progressive expansion of Magic Village.
Mr. Cunha’s Magic Development portfolio includes ownership and/or Partner/CEO accountabilities with
the core enterprise, Magic Village 1 and 2, and Magic Place by Pininfarina. He also serves as a Partner,
CEO, and/or Board member for additional assets such as Etna Holding and CND Holiday Homes. His
scope of involvement entails supervisory authority of real estate development, commercial property
management, vacation rental management, and vacation rental booking.
Mr. Cunha is strongly established in the Orlando market, possessing more than a decade of senior
management experience with industrial and commercial real estate development, redevelopment, and
construction management. He is an accomplished industry project professional deeply knowledgeable of
the planning, coordination, and oversight of distinct, concurrent project initiatives; and has earned a
reputation for timely, cost-effective, quality execution. He is a skilled cross-functional leader with the
capacity for creating a shared vision among commercial departments, engineering managers,
architectural designers, and stakeholders.
As a skilled land acquisitions agent, he builds bridges between landowners and City Administrators to
foster collaborative effort regarding proposed developments. He is a trusted adviser and facilitator
concerning land use policy, zoning regulations, and master planning; having championed a mixed-use
development – office, retail, and residential – as the cornerstone of a new business district.
Mr. Cunha is relied upon to develop feasibility studies and investment pro-forma, crystallize acquisition
efforts, manage entitlements, orchestrate preconstruction, and fund construction. His areas of land
development expertise include tenant build outs, ground up construction, property management, and
rentals – the last being an essential component of Magic Village timeshare growth and development.
Historically a confident speaker and brand ambassador, Mr. Cunha leads project presentations that
successfully attract partner investors, lenders, and stakeholders, gain buy in, elevate engagement, and
achieve milestone fundraising goals.
Mr. Cunha is a versatile and goal-focused individual willing to lead from the office or during field
operations. He provides insight, guidance, and high efficiency management for director level personnel
and project managers tied to daily construction activities. As an intrepid problem solver, he thrives in
executive management roles in turnaround, risk management, and market repositioning roles. In
addition, his organizational and business development abilities continue to contribute to Magic
Development’s innovative brand building, expansion, and bottom line.
Mr. Cunha earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.
