Gerry Miovski is an Executive Vice President with 25 years of experience representing real estate owners, and both for and not-for-profit tenants

throughout New York City and the world. Gerry was awarded REBNY’s 1 st prize ‘Most Ingenious Deal of the Year’ in 2018 “The Henry Hart Rice Award” for his work with the Sabey Corporation in the game-changing transformation and creative leasing at 375 Pearl Street.

In 2013, Gerry arranged the 166,000-sq.-ft. Manhattan relocation and expansion

for Nyack College (Now Alliance University). The lease included rights to expand and purchase the premises, and Nyack College was so grateful for Gerry’s work on their behalf that they acknowledged his service with their Orville H. Mann, Jr. Community Business Leader Award. The award is given to a “trailblazing businessperson in recognition of the individual’s exemplary service and loyal partnership with Nyack College.” Gerry also represents the Howard Hughes Corporation in its NYC Seaport Redevelopment where transactions include the Alexander Wang Global HQ and Nike; 88 Pine Street for Cosco; 75 Broad St for JEMB; 80-90 Maiden Lane for Cannon Hill as well as previous work at 32 Old Slip, 125 Broad St, 111/115 Broadway, 90 Broad St, 40 Wall St, 31 West 27th St and 100/104 Fifth Ave. In addition to his work with prominent landlords, Gerry leads the transaction management team for several significant multimarket clients including, Radancy (formally TMP Worldwide), HealthStar Communications and the OpenText Corporation, Canada’s largest software firm. Based in Waterloo, Canada, OpenText has over four million square feet in real estate holdings across more than 150 locations. Significant transactions for OpenText include 120,000 sq. ft. in Munich, Germany, 105,000 sq. ft. in Toronto, Canada and 110,000 sq. ft. in San Mateo, California.

James has also been a recipient of REBNY’s prestigious Edward S. Gordan Deal of the Year award. Some noteworthy clients include The Archdiocese of New York, Breaking Ground, The Carlyle Group, JP Morgan Chase, Salvation Army and Vornado among others.

James builds unique sales platforms at Avison Young consisting of a unified, client-first sales group that is broken out by asset class and providing the best client experience. This approach aligns with Avison Young’s principally owned structure which allows principals to be personally invested in the long-term success of their clients.

Throughout his over 25-year career, James has been involved in the sale of approximately 500 property and loan sales for an aggregate value of over $5 billion dollars. Prior to joining Avison Young, James served as Vice Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield, where his team was ranked the number one Investment Sales broker nationwide in 2016. Previously, James was a partner and top producer for Massey Knakal for six of their last eight years and was named the company’s youngest partner in 2004.

James is passionate about real estate and helping others achieve success. With his Wall Street Journal bestselling book The Insider’s Edge To Real Estate Investing, podcast, videos, and weekly Forbes articles, he advises on how to navigate and stay on top of this ever-changing market. He enjoys guest lecturing at Columbia, Fordham, NYU, Wharton, and of course his alma mater Colgate. James serves on the boards of REBNY, SparkYouth NYC, and USA Water Polo and is a former Chairman of YM/WREA. Michael Maturo is a founding Managing Partner and serves as President of RXR Realty LLC (“RXR”), a multi-billion dollar private real estate company which was formed subsequent to the sale of Reckson Associates Realty Corp (“Reckson”)(NYSE:RA) to SL Green, one of the largest public Real Estate management buyouts in REIT history. In this capacity, he develops, implements and oversees RXR’s corporate strategy and investment fund and asset management businesses as well as all capital markets activities. Mr. Maturo is a member of RXR’s Investment Committee and its Board of Directors. He is also a Principal and member of the Investment Committee of RXR Real Estate Opportunity Fund, LLC, RXR Real Estate Value Add Fund LLC and RXR Emerging Markets Fund LLC.

Prior to the Reckson/SL Green merger, Mr. Maturo served as President and a member of the Board of Directors at Reckson. Mr. Maturo was also Chairman of the Investment Committee and had oversight responsibility over the company’s allocation of capital. Mr. Maturo worked closely with the Company’s CEO in developing and implementing Reckson’s corporate and operating strategies. Mr. Maturo was at Reckson from 1995 until January 2007 and during his tenure completed over $20 billion in capital markets transactions.

In addition, Mr. Maturo serves on a number of outside Boards and Committees including Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Long Island Association (LIA), as well as a Member of its Executive Committee and Chairman of its Economic Development Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, the Investment Committee of the Diocese of Rockville Centre Pension Plan and Member of the Real Estate Roundtable. Mr. Maturo was appointed by Governor Cuomo in December 2012 to the Board of Trustees of the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) where he served as Chairman of the Personnel and Compensation Committee and member of the Finance and Audit Committee and the Operations Transition Committee. Mr. Maturo completed his tenure on the LIPA board in January 2014.

Dylan Kane is a Managing Director of Colliers’ Capital Markets group in New York. Mr. Kane has extensive experience in arranging commercial investment sales, as well as the debt & equity financing of all asset classes and transaction types, including origination, underwriting, and execution in both principal and advisory capacities.

Prior to joining Colliers in 2022, Mr. Kane was a Managing Director at B6 Real Estate Advisors based in New York, where he was the top producer of capital advisory transactions in 2021 and selected as a 2021 Top Mortgage Broker by Connect CRE. Prior to B6, Mr. Kane spent two-plus years at Newmark in New York, serving as a Director in the Debt & Structured Finance group. During his tenure at Newmark, Mr. Kane was selected as a National Rising Star and his top-ranked capital markets team arranged over $20 billion of financings. In 2019, Mr. Kane was honored to be selected by Commercial Observer as one of the Top 25 Debt & Equity Professionals Under 35 in the nation. Leading up to his time at Newmark, Mr. Kane spent three-plus years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York in the Real Estate Structured Finance group originating and underwriting real estate loans for institutional and private clients.

Mr. Kane earned his B.A. from Middlebury College, where he served as Captain of the Varsity Baseball Team and received College Scholar distinction. Mr. Kane is a native of Port Washington, New York.

Christina Chiu is the President of Empire State Realty Trust. Prior to her appointment as President, Ms. Chiu served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer since May 2020 when she joined ESRT, and was then appointed to both Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer in December 2022.

Prior to joining ESRT, Ms. Chiu had an 18-year career at Morgan Stanley where she served as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Global Listed Real Assets Investing business, responsible for business development and capital raising efforts, institutional investor and consultant relationships, oversight of the day-to-day investing business, and execution of strategic initiatives. She began her career as a real estate investment banking analyst on both principal investing and strategic advisory transactions.

Ms. Chiu is a member of the Real Estate Roundtable Real Estate Capital Policy Advisory Committee, vice chair of the ULI Technology & Real Estate Council, member of the NYU Stern Real Estate Board of Advisors, and a David Rockefeller Fellow of the Partnership for NYC. She serves on the American Red Cross National Board of Governors, as well as the board of University Settlement Society of New York. Ms. Chiu earned a B.S. in Finance and Accounting summa cum laude from NYU Stern School of Business.

Peter S. Borock is a shareholder in the Real Estate Practice of Greenberg Traurig’s New York office. Peter advises private equity sponsors, operators, developers, investors, and tenants on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions. His experience includes the acquisition, development, financing, disposition, and leasing of various classes of commercial real estate, including office, retail, health care, hospitality, industrial, multi-family, and mixed-use properties.

In addition to handling commercial real estate transactions, Peter has deep experience advising public transit agencies on infrastructure and other transit oriented development projects.
