Stephen Carlidge

Mr. Carlidge is President of Shore Point Architecture, P.A. and founded the company in 2001. He has 45 years of professional experience spanning a wide range of project types including residential, commercial, institutional and mixed-use buildings. As founder and principal of Shore Point Architecture, P.A., Mr. Carlidge has concentrated his design efforts on mixed-use projects, educational facilities and luxury residential developments and balanced this with a significant concentration on affordable housing. In recent years, Mr. Carlidge has been involved in the design and development of several oceanfront mid-rise (6-10 stories) luxury residential projects in Long Branch, New Jersey. These include South Beach at Long Branch, The Lofts at Pier Village and most recently, the Atlantic Club, a 132-unit, multi-tower development featuring two residential towers over a three-story underground parking garage. Mr. Carlidge has also been directly involved in a large mixed-use project on the oceanfront in the national historic district of Ocean Grove. This project is extremely unique in that it features a six-story hotel, two 4 story luxury residential buildings, boardwalk retail and single-family homes all sitting atop and underground parking deck. Prior to founding Shore Point Architecture, Mr. Carlidge was a Principal at Vitetta, a large multidisciplined A/E firm based in Philadelphia with satellite offices in seven states. At Vitetta, Mr. Carlidge directed the firm’s Educational Studio executing projects valued at nearly $900M across the country. He also directed the firm’s Sports Facilities Studio where he was responsible for projects including the Liacouras Center at Temple University, a 10,000 seat multi-purpose arena and the Sun Bank Arena (now the CURE Arena), a 12,000-seat hockey arena in Trenton, New Jersey. Prior to his tenure at Vitetta, Mr. Carlidge practiced at GRAD (formerly the Grad Partnership) in Newark, NJ where he was responsible for numerous projects including high-rises, office buildings, research laboratories and residential work.
