Why This Matters

Is Greater Manchester the new London? It is no secret that Manchester is rapidly growing, as evidenced by the vast number of cranes and the ever-changing skyline. According to Lambert Smith Hampton’s (LSH) Build to Rent Report, delivery of BtR units outside London has been heavily focused around a select group of the UK’s larger urban centres, which account for 77% of all units either completed or under construction. Manchester/Salford, which ticks many of the boxes in terms of return requirements and demographic suitability, also stands head and shoulders above anywhere else, accounting for 30% of all units outside London.

Can the market deliver on the supply demanded? What will this do rent prices over the coming years? And how will new developments differ from those that came before them? Find out this and more at Manchester Build to Rent 2019 as we bring the city’s most prominent CRE professionals to discuss major trends and issues facing the market today.
