The Mayfield Development Partnership

Over the next decade, The Mayfield Development Partnership, will transform the 24-acre Mayfield district, into a vibrant, globally-ambitious and inclusive place to work, live and play.

The regeneration project will celebrate Mayfield’s existing heritage assets and its outstanding connectivity in the city – while also creating a new 6.5-acre urban park, surrounded by beautifully designed workspaces, public realm and 1,300 new homes.

The Partnership comprises regeneration specialist U+I, Manchester City Council, Transport for Greater Manchester and LCR.

Summary

1.) Can Manchester’s amazing couple of years continue? If not, will it be a smooth landing?

2.) Is the residential boom behind us? How about office and tech? Are these markets peaking or plateauing?

3.) Who is going to build all of the new assets needed in the city from offices to warehouses to residential?

4.) How do we get placemaking just right? What is the secret sauce to creating a city where people want to live, work and play?

5.) What’s next for Manchester?  How do we combine business case and good design to continuously build and improve the city?

6) Does the city offer a sustainable retail mix? What retailers, restaurants and leisure companies are headed in and out in 2019?
