Why You Should Attend Bisnow's Annual Downtown Los Angeles CRE Conference:

What You'll Learn:

  • What common themes are we seeing as leaders push to transform downtown and bring the neighborhood "back to life?"
  • How is the city, and civic organizations throughout Los Angeles working to support the future of DTLA as a local neighborhood, regional hub and global destination?
  • What are the short-term and long-term social and economic impacts on Downtown's commercial real estate market?
  • What are we currently seeing for residential units in the pipeline, as the multifamily market leads the way in the city's revitalization?
  • How are dealmakers financing new development in today’s market and navigating getting deals done downtown?
  • How are developers getting creative when building, expanding and diversifying their portfolios, with challenges ahead?
  • What types of tenants are moving to DTLA? Who are we building and repositioning for? What types of tenants are moving out of DTLA? How are we negotiating to keep them downtown?
  • How are civic organizations and commercial real estate leaders preparing for the upcoming Olympics in 2028?
  • It's been 30 years... What is in the plans to expand and modernize the LA Convention Center
  • The downtown towers that have been sitting unfinished since before the pandemic... What is the status of the long-stalled abandoned Oceanwide development

How You’ll Do More Business at the Session: Join us to learn from commercial real estate leaders focusing on all asset classes, the city and civic organizations - and hear how these leaders are working to revitalize the Downtown Los Angeles market, reimagine the area and transform the neighborhood. We all know that LA's downtown needs attention, and that leaders need to prioritize and get aggressive to make a change. Speakers explore resources that are available, identify new opportunities, and options to partner with other local CRE professionals and entities to move the needle. Learn about what landlords are doing to reposition their buildings, attract new tenants and bring people back to Arts District, Little Tokyo, Fashion District, South Park, Bunker Hill, Chinatown, Civic Center, Historic Core, Toy District and Skid Row.

Projects To Be Discussed During this Session:

Carolwood & Colliers - AON CENTER: AON Center is the third tallest office tower in Downtown Los Angeles offering remarkable and essentially unobstructed views. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for abundant natural light and large rectangular floor plates allow for a combination of perimeter offices and creative, open configurations. The property is well located in the midst of a dramatic renaissance as a result of major investments made over the past 15 years in public and private projects, including numerous residential towers, transit infrastructure enhancements, expanded entertainment/hospitality venues and new retail, especially restaurants. With significant additional investments underway, Downtown is establishing itself as a dynamic live/work/play urban center. Tenants at the building benefit from proximity to the prestigious California Club across the street and the Jonathan Club one block away; “Restaurant Row” along 7th Street; Fig at 7th retail center three blocks away; The Bloc, an open-air lifestyle retail center located one block to the south; and the Wilshire Grand Center, an upscale mixed-use tower with a 900-room InterContinental hotel, expansive conference and spa amenities, office, retail, and cutting edge restaurants. The property occupies two thirds of a city block between Wilshire Boulevard and West 6th Street along South Hope Street in the Financial District. It has prominent entrances for both pedestrians and vehicles on Wilshire and 6th Street, which offers convenient access to and from the Harbor Freeway (Highway 110). The 7th Street Metro station is located a short block south of the property. By 2020, all LA Metro trains will pass through 7th Street making it a direct stop for commuters from all over the LA region and the main transfer station for the entire system.
