Why This Matters

Rapid growth and urbanization have not only led London to look at ever more innovative ways to accommodate more people and increase densities but also provide livable spaces where people can work, live and play. London is the fifth most expensive place to build, behind New York, San Francisco, Zurich and Hong Kong. According to Turner & Townsend International Construction Market Survey 2018, labor costs in the UK have increased by 3.1%. Against the backdrop of rising cost of building materials and Brexit’s effect on labor hires, building the spaces our city needs is presenting new challenges for the industry.

Join Bisnow to hear from figures at the forefront of the industry as we delve into modern development methods and materials, automation and digital tools that will help to make the CRE industry more efficient. We will also examine the importance of creating and increasing social value in new developments that will deliver economic and social benefits to the owner and end-consumer of real estate.
