Insights from the 2025 CREW Network Benchmark Study underscore why recognition and visibility remain essential: women still comprise just 38% of the industry, earn 4% less in base salary and 13% less in total compensation, and report gender discrimination as their primary barrier to success for the first time in the study’s history. Despite these challenges, women continue to show strong career ambition and resilience, even through market cycles and shifting workplace norms.
