He also serves as an Advisory Council member for the Real Estate Finance and Investment Center at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Will received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Washington & Lee University and a Master’s degree in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University.

  Rick Cavenaugh is the founder and President of Stoneleigh Companies, a private real estate development company. His 36-year national career in real estate includes building successful development and ownership companies including Stoneleigh, Fifield Companies, Prime Residential/Ambassador Apartments and Pacific Realty. Rick graduated in 1982 with a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and is very involved in student leadership initiatives at U of I. He has been involved in numerous housing initiatives and is an active industry speaker. In Dallas, Stoneleigh’s most current activity includes One Uptown, Waterford Market (Frisco) and Switchyard (Carrollton).

  Walt Zartman

  Walt Zartman is Senior Vice President of Hillwood Urban, where he pursues and overseas the implementation of landmark development opportunities throughout the North Texas region. Mr. Zartman is currently overseeing the development of Victory Commoms, a 352,000 square foot, Class AA office tower in Victory Park. Other recent projects include the Turtle Creek Office project, a consolidation of the Perot Companies into a campus headquarters located in Uptown Dallas as well as the iconic Perot Museum of Nature and Science, a 170,000 square foot, $190 million project. The project opened ahead of schedule and under budget, and has become one of North Texas’ most important entertainment and educational attractions. Current developments in design are Class AA office projects in Victory Park and Turtle Creek as well as a new landmark skyscraper adjacent to Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Downtown Dallas. Prior to joining Hillwood Development, Mr. Zartman served as Vice President, Investments & Development for Crescent Real Estate Equities in both Houston and Dallas. At Crescent, Mr. Zartman was the development officer responsible for 5 Houston Center, a 580,000 square foot Class A office tower and the re-development and “re-branding” of The Park Shops, a 290,000 square foot retail center in downtown Houston, Texas. In addition, Mr. Zartman was the development officer in charge of a 250,000 square foot Class A office building in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as the 590,000 square foot Ritz Carlton Hotel and Residences in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining Crescent, Mr. Zartman served as Vice President of Development for Hines in Dallas, Texas. During his 14-year tenure with Hines, Mr. Zartman was responsible for the development of more than 900,000 square feet of Class A office space (including Galleria North in North Dallas and Computer Associates Plaza in Plano) and for the acquisition of projects in the southwest region of the United States. Mr. Zartman was also responsible for the day-to-day asset management of a 2.3 million square foot office portfolio in Dallas, Texas and of approximately 594,000 square feet of properties located in San Antonio and Austin, Texas, as well as Albuquerque, New Mexico. During his more than 32 year career, Mr. Zartman has been directly responsible for the development and construction of more than 3.7 million square feet, representing in excess of $1.1 billion in value.   Mr. Summerville provides operational leadership and vision on all of KDP’s real estate development projects, maintaining intimate involvement with every facet of a project from site acquisition through asset disposition. Prior to co-founding KDP, Mr. Summerville was Chief Operating Officer and a partner at NRG, where he was instrumental in growing the start-up firm from $250,000 to $7,000,000 in annual revenues, while developing a portfolio of new, high quality real estate assets valued at approximately $630,000,000. During this time, Mr. Summerville and the other executives at NRG were successful in liquidating half of the portfolio, yielding investor profitability of approximately $125,000,000. After graduating in 2000 from Texas A&M University’s College of Architecture with a B.S. in Construction Science, Mr. Summerville joined the Dallas office of The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. For over five years he served as a project manager directly involved in the preconstruction and execution of large commercial construction projects throughout the country. In 2006, Mr. Summerville joined Las Vegas-based GSG Development, serving as a development executive, where he managed all aspects of the firm’s mixed-use, high-rise residential, and commercial office real estate development efforts.

  Growing up in a family of builders laid the foundation and by thirteen, Don Powell was working commercial construction projects and on his way to an architecture degree from Ball State University. He began his career in Indianapolis, and four decades ago launched the firm now known as BOKA Powell. A broad range of projects followed, and after planning and designing more than 35 million square feet of architecture and interiors, he maintains that the best design solutions come from a thorough understanding of the problem and allowing that clarity to drive the process. Don stays deeply involved in his projects from beginning to end and continues his professional education through Executive Graduate Courses at Harvard Graduate School of Design.

  Ramsey is a Partner and Managing Director at Stream Realty Partners. In this capacity, Ramsey oversees Stream’s office and mixed-use development and investment activities in the DFW market along with the expansion of Stream’s third-party leasing and development services platform. Since joining the organization in 2009, Ramsey has consistently been a top 5 national producer for Stream and was the #1 producer in the DFW office practice area in 2016, 2017, and 2018. During Ramsey’s tenure at Stream, he has executed lease transactions in excess of $745 million in value on 2.97 million square feet and procured and executed development projects with an approximate market value of $215 million. Over his career, Ramsey has also executed more than $3.0 billion in property and loan sale transactions across the country in a variety of product types. Most recently, Ramsey led the $140 million redevelopment of Trammell Crow Center and the creation of the 2000 Ross mixed-use district on Ross Avenue in Dallas. Prior to joining Stream, Ramsey spent eight years in New York with Rockwood Real Estate Advisors as an executive where he arranged capital market transactions throughout the United States. He began his career in Dallas in 2000 with the Archon Group, where he supervised a portfolio of non-performing loans, mezzanine/preferred equity investments and REO on behalf of investment funds controlled by Goldman Sachs.   Ryan Chismark is responsible for the management and execution of property tax consulting engagements. His experience includes pre/post acquisition due diligence, valuation appeals, negotiations, appraisal review board hearings, equal & uniform taxation analysis and property tax budgets. Mr. Chismark began his career as a Project Manager for the Pennsylvania government with a focus on tax abatements and incentives. Mr. Chismark relocated to Texas and furthered his career as an Associate Director and Consultant with Cushman & Wakefield. In 2015 Mr. Chismark and his Partner opened the Morrison & Head Dallas office in Uptown. Ryan is a licensed property tax consultant in Texas and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He is a graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. He currently sits on the Regional Council for Make-A-Wish North Texas and is on the Board of Directors for Irish Network DFW.
