Mehrdad Moayedi

Mehrdad Moayedi has been a fixture in the construction and development business for more than 32 years, observing the real estate and market trends of North Texas to consistently drive business success. In 1990, he established Centurion American Custom Homes, and has taken on executive duties as president and CEO of Centurion American Development Group. Centurion works closely with cities, investors, community members and key stakeholders to engage in real estate projects covering all areas of development spanning residential master-planned communities, commercial properties, mixed-use projects, and hospitality assets. More than 100,000 lots have been developed spanning approximately 50,000 acres in more than 300 premier developments since its inception. Under Moayedi’s leadership, Centurion American was recently awarded “Best Real Estate Deal of 2021” by the Dallas Business Journal for the company’s largest development to date, Legacy Hills in Celina, TX. A host of other local, regional, and national accolades have been given over the years for notable projects, community involvement and leadership in the industry. Moayedi himself has received the John Harbin Visionary Award for his dedication and impact in Tarrant and Denton counties. Practice: Steve’s practice is focused on the provision of public infrastructure for land development in Texas. Steve is particularly active in the representation of landowners and developers, tax increment reinvestment zones, municipal utility districts, municipal management districts, cities, counties, and other special districts. He serves as general counsel to numerous political subdivisions and acts as bond counsel for local government tax-exempt financings. He also negotiates with various local government officials and developers regarding land development, water, transportation and roadway infrastructure projects, and stadium projects. In Steve’s words: “Assisting land developers and governmental entities to creatively deliver public infrastructure is what I enjoy most about my practice.” Representative Matters: Steve represents private developers in negotiations with local government entities for public participation in various public infrastructure land entitlement and economic development matters. His practice includes the spectrum of public infrastructure projects, from master-planned communities, urban in-fill development, regional road and water projects to industrial development. Steve serves as general counsel, bond and continuing disclosure counsel to special purpose local governments that provide water, sewer, drainage, road, and park facilities to developments of all types across North Texas.
