Events Raw Space

The Fields

The Fields is a 20+ acre campus comprised of three existing buildings and adjacent vacant lots. With 75% of the main warehouse building currently occupied by retail, commercial, warehouse and residential units, it offers a collaborative and experimental environment.

In addition to our main campus, The Fields Studios is the first purpose built studio facility to be developed in Chicago and was meticulously designed “for Producers by Producers”. The Fields Studios consists of two campuses on the lots north and south of The Fields. The program is made up of over 125,000SF of stages and over 200,000SF of support spaces.

The Fields provides a dynamic mixed use environment to support all of the cast and crew members of The Fields Studio tenants, as well as future commercial and retail tenants.

  • Which areas in Chicago are seeing the most activity and being targeted for new construction?
  • Two years after the new construction code updates took effect, how did Chicago fare? What impact has it had on new projects?
  • How are current TV and film studios expanding their footprints as demand for studio space in Chicago far exceeds supply amid an ongoing entertainment boom as Netflix, Amazon Prime and other content providers churn out new shows for binge-watching customers? What new studios are currently being developed?
  • With new production studios in the works, how can Chicago ensure it emerges as one of the top film producing locations in this country?
