Why This Matters

What you'll learn:

  • What is driving the location of biotech developments and which projects are dictating market trends and rates?
  • How do developers and builders strike a design balance between flexible space to allow for growth but also specific enough to create customized value for tenants? How does this impact lease length negotiations?
  • What specific design elements are in high demand specific for biotech facilities, including research and development, wet lab, computational and office space?
  • How will the increase in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities impact the development locations and future life science trends?
  • What is the difference between biotech and pharmaceutical facilities? How does the lab type determine leverage between owner and tenant when negotiating lease length, building amenities and layout?

How you'll do more business: As we navigate an increasingly competitive Boston Life Sciences Market with more demand than space, gain exclusive insights into where to find and create value in the biotech space outside of the traditional Cambridge hub. We will examine the development pipeline, the difference between biotech and pharmaceutical spaces, what the recent emphasis to GMP facilities means and the latest trends in building design.
