Atlanta Office Market Outlook

Brian Granath joined OA Development in 1998 as an associate. Today, he is a partner involved in all aspects of the business including project selection, planning, construction, financing, leasing and dispositions. Brian has overseen the development and acquisition of more than 1,500,000 square feet of office, flex and industrial space. He has worked with tenants including General Dynamics, Verizon Directories, Sumitomo Corporation Aegon USA, ADP, Coca Cola Fed Ex, Sprint and Cincinnati Bell. Brian is active in his community, serving on the board of two local private schools. He is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program. Brian holds a degree in Real Estate from Georgia State University. He resides in Sandy Springs with his wife and their three children.

Scott Barr is primarily responsible for analysis, due diligence, and transaction execution functions for the acquisition of new assets in Georgia and the surrounding areas. He also supports asset management, property management, and leasing functions in the region. Prior to joining CP Group in 2014, he was a Senior Associate for New York Life Real Estate Investors, responsible for underwriting and closing commercial real estate loans across the Southeast. His prior experience includes Senior Associate with Buchanan Street Partners, Associate at LNR Partners, and Acquisition Analyst at Raymond James Tax Credit Funds.

Steve LaMontagne is a Partner at Moore Colson and leads the firm’s Real Estate Practice. Steve has extensive experience in all sectors of the real estate, construction and hospitality industries, including fund managers and advisors, registered investment advisors (RIAs), REITs, developers, institutional investment vehicles, operating properties, and syndication of private and public partnerships. During his 35+ years of experience in the real estate industry, several years were spent in capital markets working exclusively on real estate transactions. In his role as leader of the Moore Colson Real Estate Practice, he works with a variety of real estate clients. His expertise includes real estate investing, accounting, financial reporting, and auditing matters. Prior to joining Moore Colson, Steve was an Assurance Partner and leader of the Southeast Real Estate Practice with the international accounting firm of KPMG, LLP. Steve worked with KPMG, LLP since 1983 as a CPA. Steve became the leader of KPMG’s Atlanta real estate practice in 1997 and shortly thereafter became the Director of the Real Estate Practice for the entire southeastern United States. He also served on several National Committees utilizing his expertise in the area of real estate finance including leasing, mergers and acquisitions, financings, public offerings and sales of real estate.

John joined Granite in 2010. He is the market leader for Atlanta with responsibility for the growth, performance and value creation of the Atlanta and Nashville platforms. John currently serves as a member of the NAIOP National Forum as well as on the advisory board for NAIOP Georgia, having previously served on the executive board for six years including president in 2012. He is a board member for the Council for Quality Growth and was a founding board member for the North Fulton Community Improvement District. John serves on the sponsorship committee for Sporting Clays Classic supporting the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and also on the Board of Mentors for the Kenan Scholars at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. John previously served on the executive committee and board of trustees for The Ron Clark Academy and now currently sits on the advisory board. He has also formerly been a member of the Center for Real Estate Studies Advisory Council at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He enjoys spending time adventuring the outdoors with his wife, sons, and dogs. John received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mr. Allman joined Regent Partners in 2006 and currently serves as a Principal on the Office Leasing and Development Team. His primary role consists of leasing activities and strategies for Regent Partners’ developments and acquisitions, as well as supporting acquisition efforts for office properties. Prior to Regent Partners, Mr. Allman spent three years at Bullock Mannelly Partners specializing in multifamily investment sales as well as debt and equity financing for office and retail projects across the Southeast. Mr. Allman obtained his BSBA degree from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill with a specialty in finance. He currently is a member of ULI, NAIOP, REGA, and is a licensed real estate agent in Georgia.

With an eye for beauty and unrealized opportunity, Joyce augments her clients’ visions and manifests them as truly innovative spaces. For Joyce, life is about pushing boundaries and ourselves, which is one thing she values most about working at Corgan. “We strive to consistently challenge the way things have been done by studying and developing new approaches,” she says. While Joyce’s primary role is the leadership of workplace interiors in Atlanta, she also manages the Atlanta office. After 42 years in the industry that has allowed her to pursue her passion for art, life has come full circle for Joyce, whose daughter chose to follow a similar path. “My daughter has always been at the core of my world and a point of inspiration,” she says. “She, too, is an interior designer, practicing in a thriving residential firm.” Beyond her passion for fine art, horseback riding, and the environment, Joyce finds inspiration from traveling and seeing the world. “Seeing beautiful buildings and landscapes, this is what gets me excited about the future — and how being re-inspired by this will influence the way I look at the future,” she says.

As Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Coworking Partnerships, John Moyer supports the North American sales team and develops strong relationships and strategic partnerships for the company. John is an experienced sales leader, with more than 20 years of consumer product and sales management experience. Since joining Vari in 2015, John has held several roles supporting the rapid growth of the company, including Director of Sales and Vice President of Corporate Accounts. His passion helps serve clients and create life-long fans of the company. Prior to joining Vari, John held a leadership role with Gemmy Industries, an industry leader in seasonal décor and LED lighting, where he managed the Walmart Corporate and Target accounts. He began his career as an outside sales representative at Revlon Cosmetics. His experience at Revlon built a foundation for a sales career spanning multiple industries, with a focus on providing a high level dedicated service and client engagement. John graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in Marketing. He lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife of 20 years and their two children. He enjoys traveling with his family as a way to experience new places and creating lifelong memories together.

Stacy Connell leads Technogym sales in the Southeast for health, corporate and performance. Stacy brings 20 years of experience in the fitness and wellness industry as a nationally recognized health, wellbeing, and recreation expert, speaker, and consultant from her work in the higher education and corporate wellness settings. Stacy’s holistic approach to health and wellbeing is as multifaceted as her experience. As a consultant, Stacy supported her clients through strategic planning, wellbeing strategy and framework development, built and natural environment design, benefits design and product development. She has had points of pride in her career such as authoring the NC State university-wide wellness strategy and leading a newly expanded health promotion department as Georgia Tech’s first Senior Director of Health Initiatives, with responsibility for leading and developing a holistic approach of health and well-being serving 32,000 students and 10,000 employees. Stacy has also served in campus recreation roles focused on fitness and wellness at the University of Georgia and Texas Christian University. Throughout her career, Stacy has harnessed her passion for biophilic design and the built and natural environments by serving as a key member of small- and large-scale facility and landscape projects. Projects range from fitness studio renovations to large scale construction projects including the Kandeda Building for Sustainable Design, Georgia Tech Campus Center Renovation and Expansion, and the Carmichael Wellness and Recreation Center Renovation and Expansion. Stacy proudly served as the co-chair for NIRSA’s inaugural Health and Wellbeing Task Force. She now serves on the Wellbeing Advisory Council for the American Cancer Society, Partnership for a Healthier America and the Jed Foundation. Stacy has held previous board roles with National Consortium for Building Healthy Academic Communities and is involved in the American College Health Association, the Health Enhancement Research Organization, the National Wellness Institute and NASPA: Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. Stacy has been featured and contributed to various publications including NASPA Leadership Exchange, NIRSA Know, and Campus Rec Magazine. She has also been invited to share and contribute her best practices with others. Stacy has given over 30 conference presentations and speaking engagements related to population health, wellbeing, campus recreation and employee wellness. Stacy received Bachelors’ Degrees in Exercise Physiology- Fitness & Nutrition and Biological Science from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Georgia. She also holds many fitness and wellness credentials including certified wellness practitioner, certified health coach, registered yoga teacher, certified strength and conditioning specialist, personal trainer and fitness instructor. Additionally, Stacy has continued to expand her knowledge through intensive leadership programs, diversity and inclusion trainings, and skill-based education in motivational interviewing, improvement science, and design thinking. ​ Stacy lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband and their three children, Mason, Logan, and Piper. Stacy enjoys unwinding with family hikes, working out, and good wine with great company.
