Kirk S. Demetrops is President and founder of MidCity. He oversees the acquisition/development strategy, equity/debt partners, user/partner transactions, advisory services and overall management of the company.Prior to forming MidCity in 2009, Mr. Demetrops was President of The Griffin Company, a 35 year old full service real estate development and construction company headquartered in Atlanta, GA. He joined The Griffin Company in 2001 and spearheaded the acquisition and development of office and mixed-use properties. Upon becoming President in 2007, his responsibilities were expanded to include managing the construction division and organizational structure.From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Demetrops was a partner in Forum Realty Corporation where he specialized in office tenant representation and land brokerage. The Griffin Company purchased Forum in late 2000. Mr. Demetrops started his career with Bailey & Associates, an Atlanta developer of office buildings, where he worked from 1988 to 1996. His primary responsibilities were the marketing and leasing of the company’s office portfolio, the majority of which was owned in a joint venture with New York Life Insurance Company.

Mr. Demetrops received an MBA from Emory University and BBA from University of Georgia.

Mahesh Mani

Mahesh joined Rubenstein Partners in 2021 as Senior Vice President of Asset Management. He leads the firm’s equity asset management efforts in the Southeast in coordination with the firm’s senior leadership team, and is based in the firm’s Atlanta offices. He is currently responsible for the performance of 3.3M square feet of institutional quality office properties in urban, infill and suburban submarkets in the Atlanta MSA.

Prior to Rubenstein, Mahesh spent more than 15 years in principal asset management roles of increasing responsibility, at a variety of real estate platforms including Preferred Office Properties, HighBrook Investors, Piedmont Office Realty Trust, Wells Real Estate Funds and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.

Mahesh graduated from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, where he was a Beta Gamma Sigma honor society member, and from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Study of Religion and Pre-Medicine.

planning and public space curation. For the last 7 years Cassie has helped lead the Conscious

Place effort at Trademark Property Company. Conscious Place is the next generation of experiential

placemaking development that is inspirational, educational, sustainable and aims to create a place

of wellness and vitality. Cassie and her team help build these well-crafted, curated and distinctive

spaces by bringing in the local thread of designers, community artists and makers to enrich spaces.

She is a commissioned artist and resides in Durango, CO with her husband and 2 step-sons.

Megann C. Lawrence, a licensed Georgia Real Estate Salesperson, joined Dart Retail in 2015. She is a commercial real estate executive with extensive experience in marketing, sales, leasing, tenant and landlord representation, technology, operational management, new development, and redevelopment project consulting.

Megann’s experience on both sides of the retail spectrum makes her a valuable asset to her clients and Dart Retail. Megann expertly represents her clients in contracts, property marketing, site selection, and negotiations. Megann is tech-savvy, personable, enthusiastic, and persistent when representing her clients. She works with owners, developers, and retailers to provide strategic leasing plans and market research throughout the Southeast. Megann enjoys making her clients’ complicated tasks feel simple as she executes services catered to fit the specific needs of each of her clients.

Megann is a Temple University graduate with a double major in Neuroscience and Psychology. Prior to starting her career in Commercial Real Estate, Megann was a former Division 1 and Professional Athlete, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Pain Management and MRI of Philadelphia, PA, Director of Marketing and Operations for Lassiter & Associates LLP of Philadelphia, PA, and the Operations & Marketing Manager of Emerge Accounting of Atlanta, GA. Megann is actively involved in the active apparel retail industry and the gym and fitness industry. She is also a member of Oasis Family Life Church.

valuation of more than $2 billion. Prior to joining Toro Development Company, Kelley served as Partner and Senior Vice President

of Commercial Development at North American Properties where he led the mixed-use development platform for the company’s

Atlanta office. During that time, he oversaw the ground-up development of Avalon, the $1 billion “urbanburb” in Alpharetta, and

the iconic transformation of Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta.

John graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and earned an MBA in Real Estate from the

University of Georgia.

With 30+ years of commercial real estate development experience, David had led end-to-end facility solutions for healthcare operators including campus planning, project leadership, project structuring, budgeting, consulting and project execution across the entire spectrum of enterprise operators – both for-profit and non-profit clients in healthcare, higher education, 501(c)3 organizations and research parks.

David grew up in Marietta, Georgia, graduated Auburn University with a degree in Building Science and now lives in Mountain Brook, AL with his wife and four kids who are enjoying high school and college years. He (very) actively serves the Boy Scouts of America as the Chartered Organization Representative, a very involved assistant scout master, Wood Badge recipient and high adventure leader. He has served as a trustee at Canterbury United Methodist Church and a Board Member at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama. Current Responsibilities Mr. Viente leads the Atlanta Region for JLL Office Agency Brokerage. As a top producer and leader, Mr. Viente brings 20 years of leasing and project marketing experience in Atlanta’s commercial real estate industry. He has successfully directed the lease up on over 20 million square feet of office assets in Atlanta. His focus is on office lease transactions, project marketing, business development and client relationship management, while directing a highly experienced team to create long-term value for office investor clients through a focus on client investment objectives, key market drivers, macroeconomic trends and capital market opportunities.

Experience and Accomplishments Over his career Mr. Viente has become a market leader in repositioning and leasing up Class A and B assets as well as leading the marketing and leasing for new developments. A large portion of Mr. Viente’s agency leasing experience has come in trophy urban assets that include 3344, 3348 and 3350 Peachtree, Buckhead Tower, One Alliance Center, Midtown Union and Promenade II. Mr. Viente started his career with Jones Lang LaSalle in 1999 as a Market Research/ Financial Analyst and was responsible for all local market research in Atlanta. As such, he has extensive experience gathering market intelligence and can provide clients a more in-depth insight into trends and forecasts.

Education and Affiliations Mr. Viente earned an M.B.A. from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida. Pat Wilson was appointed Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) in November 2016. As Commissioner, he leads the state agency responsible for creating jobs and investment opportunities in Georgia through business recruitment and expansion, small business growth, international trade and tourism, as well as the arts, film and music industries. Pat is responsible for leading the GDEcD team in planning and mobilizing state resources for economic development. Under Governor Brian P. Kemp and Commissioner Wilson’s leadership, Georgia was named the No. 1 state in the nation in which to do business for the seventh consecutive year in a row by Site Selection and sixth year in a row by Area Development. GDEcD was also rated as the nation’s best state-level economic development organization by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) in 2017.

Mr. Wilson previously served as Chief Operating Officer of GDEcD from January 2011 until his appointment as Commissioner by former Governor Nathan Deal. As COO, he managed the daily operations of the agency, directed long-term strategy, managed the agency’s legislative priorities and served as the department’s liaison with the Georgia Congressional delegation and federal government partners. In addition, Pat served as Executive Director of the Georgia Allies.

Mr. Wilson joined GDEcD as Deputy Commissioner for Global Commerce in 2010. Prior to that, he served on the staff of Governor Sonny Perdue as the director of government affairs. In that position, he led efforts to promote Governor Perdue’s legislative agenda at the State Capitol and managed federal affairs for the state of Georgia. He previously served as director of federal affairs for the state, opening the Washington, D.C., office in 2005. There he worked to promote the state’s agenda with the U.S. Congress and federal agencies as the Governor’s representative to the Georgia congressional delegation.

Prior to his work in state government, Mr. Wilson was director of governmental affairs for Greenberg Traurig, LLP, in Washington. He served under the late Sen. Paul Coverdell and under then-Rep. Nathan Deal.

He is a Franklin Springs, Georgia, native, and holds an undergraduate degree in political science with a focus on international relations from the University of Georgia. He and his wife Melissa and their two children, Padgett and Carter, reside in Sandy Springs.
