Denver’s tech invasion continues with the launch of smart finance and accounting platform ScaleFactor’s second national office here.

Marking the beginning of its multicity growth plans, the company is tapping into one of the top tech talent pools in the nation. The downtown Denver location confirms ScaleFactor’s commitment to empowering small-business owners by consolidating complex back-office operations into one platform.

“I was in Denver where I worked as a CFO and where I first identified the problems that motivated me to launch ScaleFactor,” company founder and CEO Kurt Rathmann said. “Denver has evolved into a tech mecca, and we are excited to return to the roots of the company and be part of the city’s booming market.”

ScaleFactor, which opened its first office in Austin, joins other tech tenants, including Sendgrid, Ibotta and Greenhouse, in the 1801 California building, a corporate-style office tower in Denver’s central business district.

ScaleFactor is building out its team in Denver, hiring for product and engineering positions with plans to expand its sales team before the end of the year. In addition to Austin and Denver, the company plans to open several other offices nationwide. The company has seen 700% year-over-year sales growth, fueled by small businesses’ needs for consolidating and automating back-office operations for more effective accounting solutions.
