Clovis Point will have 208 apartments on 8 acres in Longmont.

McWhinney has broken ground on Clovis Point, a 208-unit apartment project off the Diagonal Highway in Longmont.

The 220K SF, three-story project will include 10 townhomes, each 1,400 SF, and 198 apartments. It sits on just over 8 acres, 1 acre of which will be devoted to open green space with planned outdoor amenities including grills, fire pits, entertainment space, a pool and spa, central park space, an alpine pond, a family play area and a dog park. Indoor amenities will be concentrated in the two-story clubhouse and include mail pickup with parcel lockers, a community kitchen, a library, coworking spaces, Fitness on Demand, yoga and multiple lounge spaces with a 360-degree water vapor electric fireplace, which produces a flame effect.

Hord Coplan Macht Architects designed a modern-looking community that will be built by Brinkman Construction.

“The architecture of Clovis Point is intended to evoke a comfortable Scandinavian mountain resort-inspired feel,” McWhinney Director of Multifamily Development Kirsty Greer said. “The vision is to provide future residents with a variety of housing options in a contemporary home with luxury finishes and a local community lifestyle that has yet to be offered in the Longmont area.”
