Mass Equities Inc. and AECOM Capital have commissioned Colorado artist Gamma Gallery to pain a mural on their mixed-use project on Brighton Boulevard.

Colorado artist Gamma Gallery has been commissioned to paint a mural on a mixed-use project being developed by Mass Equities Inc. and AECOM Capital at 2900 Brighton Blvd. in Denver’s River North Arts District.

“We are excited to work with a Denver artist to bring a dynamic mural to the RiNo community, blending the neighborhood’s creative character with our new, exciting mixed-use project,” AECOM Capital Managing Director Ted Fentin said. “We look forward to seeing this innovative artwork brought to life at 2900 Brighton Blvd.”

Gamma Gallery is known for photorealistic pieces and for expressing compassion for oppressed people and love of justice through the activist realism of mural art. He has participated in major street-art festivals around the world.

“RiNo is a trendy, rejuvenating upcoming area, which attracts young professionals who work in downtown Denver and who are looking for authentic and creative environments like Brighton Boulevard to live in,” Mass Equities principal and Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for Colorado Brian Bair said. “The arts are an important component of the unique RiNo ambiance.”

Mass Equities, a private equity investment firm based in Santa Monica, California, and AECOM Capital, the investment arm of AECOM, formed a partnership earlier this year to develop a 7.8-acre site with 522K SF of new construction. The $200M first phase of the project includes repositioning the existing 62K SF building at 3060 Brighton Blvd. into a creative office building, taking advantage of the soaring ceiling height and open space that already exists in the building. In addition, Mass Equities and AECOM will develop about 480 apartment units, 64K SF of new creative office space and more than 33K SF of retail space.
