Amazon Pulls Trigger On 1M SF Facility In Aurora

Placeholder

Amazon has unveiled plans for a 1M SF fulfillment center in Aurora, the company's first such facility in Colorado. Amazon already has a 452k SF "sortation" center up and running at Majestic Commercenter in the same city. The fulfillment center will be developed in Prologis Park 70, which is near the junction of  I-70 and E-470.

The nature of any incentives the city or state may have offered the retail giant isn't clear, though more information will be available when the Aurora City Council considers the matter, perhaps as soon as next month. The new facility is expected to employ about 1,000 workers, with a goal of speeding up the retailer's deliveries in the state.
