Thakkar Developers' 36-acre Mustang Square project in West Plano inked this week a 70K SF lease with Fun Movie Grill, a movie theater concept that shows hit Hollywood and Bollywood films.

Fun Movie Grill will offer Plano guests eight movie screens, dine-in services, bowling lanes, party halls and virtual reality games when it opens next year.
The concept already has four entertainment centers across DFW and expects its newest location to function as Fun Movie Grill's flagship site going forward.
The announcement comes as developers and shopping centers are leaning more on experiential retail to draw foot traffic.
Luxury movie theaters that offer restaurant dining concepts and luxury amenities also are trending as the movie theater business fights against the pressures of the digital age and at-home entertainment streaming services.
NAI Robert Lynn's Dan Avnery and Stewart Korte represented both parties in the Fun Movie Grill lease.
Thakkar's Mustang Square development will offer 90K SF of Class-A office space, multiple retail buildings, hotels, residential villas, townhomes and a public plaza.
The site has enough space left for other restaurants and retailers to set up locations within walking distance of Fun Movie Grill.
