BOMA Dallas Names TOBY And Lone Star Award Winners

BOMA Dallas hopes to repeat its massive achievement of four international TOBY winners last year, and it all started Saturday with the selection of the top buildings and employees at the annual awards banquet at the Fashion Industry Gallery. The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards Program recognizes excellence in building management, operating efficiency, tenant retention, emergency planning and community impact. The competition is conducted at three levels—local, regional and international. Next up: Southwest Region in April. Here are the big winners from the event:

Chase Tower for more than 1M SF,  presented to Hines (pictured: Mike Dockins, James Wells, Blake Mauritzen, Tim Stout, Jeff Mabrey and Nancy Kerr); under 100k SF, 2811 McKinney, presented to CBRE; 250k to 499k went to CVS Health Tower, presented to Columbia Property Trust. The corporate HQ went to Mary Kay for the Mary Kay Building; the historical award went to the Sharyland Building, presented to Sharyland Office Management; industrial office building presented to Duke Realty Corp for Freeport X; renovated building for Sterling Plaza was awarded to CBRE; suburban office park mid-rise went to CBRE for Legacy Town Center I, II & III; and under 100k SF went to CBRE for 2811 McKinney

The Lone Star awards included:
The Senior Property/Portfolio Manager of the Year award to Holt Lunsford Commercial’s Carolyn Taylor. The Property Manager of the Year was presented to Holt Lunsford Commercial’s Harvey Jenkins. Assistant Property Manager of the Year was awarded to CBRE’s Katy Bennett. Peloton Commercial Real Estate’s Amber Garcia was named Administrative Assistant of the Year. Chief Engineer of the Year went to Stream’s Joe Fleming, and Assistant Chief Engineer of the Year went to Lincoln Property Co’s Abe Vasquez. Lead Engineer of the Year was awarded to MM Properties’ Loyd Bell; Building Engineer of the Year was awarded to Holt Lunsford Commercial’s Cris Ruiz. Allied Member of the Year was presented to American Restoration’s Janet Dempsey. Committee Member of the Year was presented to Woods Capital Property Management’s Ann Spain. Committee Chair of the Year was awarded to Columbia Property Trust’s Kristine Lang. Outstanding Member of the Year was awarded to Crescent’s Tracey Pals; and the President's Award was presented to Parmenter Realty Partners’ Andrew Taylor (pictured).
