Apartment Rent Growth Up In Dallas, But How Much?

Multifamily experts such as Sue Ansel have been telling us that rent growth remains strong in the Dallas market, and Abodo's national apartment report for July shows exactly how strong.

Dallas saw 6% rent growth for one-bedroom apartments from June to July of this year. This value puts the Big D behind some markets with double-digit growth such as Milwaukee; Columbus, OH; and Colorado Springs, CO; but still ahead of other growth markets such as San Diego; Oklahoma City; and Staten Island, NY.

"With homeownership rates falling, it makes sense for landlords to continue to raise pricing on their rental units, especially in markets with tighter inventory," Abodo's Sam Radbil tells us.
