Philips Edison & Co purchased the 90k SF Coppell Market at the corner of North Denton Tap Road and SH 121 from United Commercial Development. CBRE’s Chris Gerard, Chris Cozby, and Kevin Holland repped the seller.

Warehouse District Partners I sold 41k SF at 2140 S Main in Fort Worth. Transwestern’s Todd Hawpe and Jeff Givens repped the seller.

1000 Weatherford sold 16k SF at 1000 W Weatherford in Fort Worth to Scott Schusters. Transwestern’s Kirk Kelly and Grant Huff repped the buyer and seller.

A private investor purchased the 22k SF Main Street Medical at 571 W Main St in Lewisville. Marcus & Millichap’s Ron Hebert and Wayne Bares repped the seller. Ron also repped the buyer.

Venture’s Edward Bogel, David Davidson Jr, and Jonathan Cooper repped The Victory Group in the following transactions:

•An acquisition of 12 acres in The Colony, adjacent to Top Golf and across SH 121 from Nebraska Furniture Mart, on the northwest corner of SH121 and Paige Road. Wicker & Associates’ Brent Wicker represented the seller.

•Two pad site sales at the Victory at Stonebriar development, at the intersection of Legacy Road and Warren Parkway in Frisco. Black Walnut Café, repped by Quinn Cos’ Sean Quinn, acquired a two-acre site on the southwest corner; and Stephen’s Cleaners, repped by Chuck Green of Green & Associates, purchased a one-acre site on the northwest corner.

•Two pad site sales at the Victory at Creekside development on the southeast corner of FM 423 and Little Elm Parkway in Little Elm. Taco Villa, repped by Bobby Cox of Bobby Cox Cos, purchased a one-acre site, and the owners of Fast Lane Car Wash, represented by Veronica Attlee of Attlee Realty, acquired a two-acre site.

SPC Park Avenue Limited Partnership and SPC Condo Limited Partnership, affiliates of Strode Property Co, sold a portin of the Park Avenue shopping center at the corner of West Markham Street and South University Avenue in Little Rock for $28M to Inland Real Estate Income Trust. Disney Investment Group’s David Disney repped the seller and procured the buyer.

Bou-Hamdan purchased a 40k SF multi-tenant industrial complex at 9861-9911 Saginaw Blvd in Fort Worth from D&R Leasing. Lee & Associates’ Becky Thompson represented the seller. The buyer was represented by Phifer & Associates’ Don Phifer.

EXECUTIVE PEOPLE

Rendina Cos added Bob Neyland as CIO. Bob’s primary responsibilities will be evaluating acquisition opportunities in targeted markets throughout the country and further enhancing the company’s relationships with healthcare systems, hospitals, and lenders.

TriGlobal leased 13k SF at 17300 Dallas Pkwy in Dallas. TriGlobal was represented by Jackson Cooksey’s Michael Quint. Cassidy Turley’s Rodney Helm and Ward Eastman represented the landlord, Behringer Harvard.

McFadden Transport inked a 52k SF lease at 2745 Market St in Garland from DCT. TIG Real Estate Services’ Kevin Mackey represented the tenant. NAI Robert Lynn’s Stephen Cooper represented the landlord.

The Economic Development Department for the Town Of Addison inked a 15k SF lease at 14681 Midway. Dominus Commercial’s Justin Owen handled the negotiations.

NEW BUSINESS

Construction is underway on the 61k SF Heartis Eagle Mountain assisted living community with 54 assisted living and 35 memory care suites. MAPP Construction is building the facility, which should open this summer.

Trademark Property Co will oversee management and retail leasing at The Shops at Highland Village, owned by AEW Capital Management. The 352k SF center has more than 70 tenants and a 38k SF Whole Foods Market is scheduled to open in Q3.

A team from Rubicon Representation spent Wednesday serving at the North Texas Food Bank. Managing partner Kyle Jacobs tells us they sorted food and helped with whatever tasks they were asked to do. “It was great to see everyone selflessly pitching in to make a difference,” he says. Rubicon committed to a community service project every quarter, Kyle says.

The North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors released the name of the newest additions to its Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame roster on April 29. The HoF will add Matthews Southwest prez Jack Matthews, and Ralph and Cornelia Heins of Primera Companies. Also, Frank Mihalopoulos of Corinth Properties will receive the 2014 Michael McAuley Lifetime Achievement Award.
