Dallas & Houston Top Hospitality Construction In 2016

More than 44 new hotels opened in the North Texas region in 2015, making it the biggest market for new hotel projects, according to Lodging Econometrics stats in a Dallas Morning News report. LA was next in line with 28 new hotels last year.

New York will lead the way for projects started in 2016, with 204 groundbreakings. Houston's next in line at 167, followed by Dallas with 121. According to the report, 2015 was the best year for new hotel construction since 2008. [DMN]
