Mansfield Expands

Placeholder

Expansion is driving investment in Mansfield, says EDC assistant director Richard Nevins. Methodist Mansfield Center, which opened in 2006, underwent its fourth expansion with a $135M project that will add 118 patient rooms. That puts the room total at 286. Also added will be a 90k SF physician office building and a 15k SF imaging center. New Tech Systems, out of West Texas, bought and refurbished a 30k SF building, then built another property directly opposite that. That new 55k SF building, a $3.5M investment, will be the new HQ and manufacturing operation and bring a minimum of 50 jobs to Mansfield. Richard adds that Klein Tools, which has been in Mansfield for several years, is investing $80M in its campus and built a 50k SF heat treatment facility. Also in the works: a 200k SF building that will be part of its manufacturing and distribution operation.
