Aecom named Steven Janeway as regional design director in the Dallas office for the firm’s buildings and places practice for the Gulf Southwest area, which includes Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

CBRE Capital Markets sold Estrada Apartments, a 244-unit, affordable housing community in Carrollton. Estrada EP purchased the asset from Irving-based VTP Realty for an undisclosed price in an off-market transaction. CBRE’s Chris Deuillet repped the seller.

Frontier Equity and Silverado Interests acquired the Brookhollow Portfolio, a two-property, 391K SF industrial portfolio in Dallas. The portfolio consists of Quaker Court, a two-building, 205K SF project, and 7601 Ambassador Row, a 185K SF building. The portfolio is 100% leased to nine tenants.

JLL sold 3700 Hulen St. in Fort Worth on behalf of Chemical Management Co. The five-building complex was purchased by 3700 Hulen. JLL managing director Pat McDowell and vice president Matt Montague led the sales team.

KW Commercial’s David Tuttle sold a 6K SF office building at 3115 Erie St. in Fort Worth. Tuttle repped the seller, Wavelight Studios. The undisclosed buyer was repped by Theron Bryant with Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors.

Marcus & Millichap sold Forest Hills Strip Mall, a 14K SF retail property at 6609 Forest Hill Drive in Fort Worth. Marcus & Millichap’s Vincent Knipp and Joseph Murry marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a private investor. The asset is 100% leased.

Jag CA Re-Development purchased a 31-unit apartment building at 9720 Starlight Road in Dallas. Troy Morgan of Structure Commercial repped the seller, and CBRE’s Chris Deuillet repped the buyer.

DEVELOPMENT

Construction started on the new $91M Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Allen and Watters Creek Convention Center in Allen. The project is expected to take 18 months and will be the largest conference center along the U.S. 75 corridor between Dallas and Oklahoma.
