The Deal Sheet

Colleyville’s goal of becoming a specialty medicine mecca is one step closer, with the latest tenant (appropriately named Dr. Jerry Tennant) relocating from Irving to the Village at Colleyville.

City of Colleyville economic development director Marty Wieder tells us owner Realty Capital Management inked the deal at 35 Veranda Lane (pictured) in space previously occupied by Dr. David Kim’s Center for Bariatric Surgery--who moved to a larger location in the same project. (The building is perfect if your clean bill of health inspires you to sing from a balcony.) Move-in for the Tennant Institute for Integrative Medicine started last week. Dr. Tennant—an ophthalmologist for more that 40 years—is also Colleyville resident.

The Tennant Institute’s international clientele matches other specialty physicians in Colleyville, Marty says, a boon to the area's medical tourism. The city’s proximity to DFW Airport helps in attracting these kinds of clients. Multiple medical facilities have opened in the past few months, including the Endocrine and Thyroid Center, which built an office at 7141 Colleyville Blvd. City leaders concentrated on Highway 26 and have seen growth on Precinct Line and Highway 121, as well, in multiple sites with proximity to the coming Emerus/Baylor Emergency Medical Center-Colleyville. Other new med-related businesses include the Colleyville Dermatology expansion and the Low T Center’s second Colleyville location.
