BRACKET MADNESS
Dan Bellow
JLL Houston prez Dan Bellow is in on a secret: His company has formulated an accurate (93.75% level of confidence) way to pick theNCAA champs. The model analyzes office vacancy rates and was used to correctly predict Green Bay as the Super Bowl winners last month. The company hypothesizes that the National Championship game in Houston will feature two teams from major markets (like when we last hosted the Big Dance in ?71: UCLA beat ?Nova). That leaves about 20 legit contenders, and from there, it's about picking the lowest vacancy rates.

Rich Branning
JLL managing director Rich Branning (from the Silicon Valley office) puts up a shot during the 1978 Final Four. He's been filling out brackets for 30 years and never won a dime, but he believes his firm's methodology will make this his year. According to JLL, OhioState (16.6% vacancy in Columbus), St. John's (11.9% in NYC),Richmond (11.7%), and Temple (17% in Philly) would pay us a visit for the championship games. St. John's and Temple already lost, but if the 12th-seed Richmond Spiders take the trophy, we'll be believers. They're playing Kansas on Friday, so stay tuned. Your DFW reporter? She's still Gator chomping.
