Vic Schmerbeck is Executive Vice President of Strategy & Development with Emerus.  Mr. Schmerbeck focuses his efforts on health system partnerships, market penetration and clinical service lines in existing health system partnered markets, and overall growth and development of Emerus' business in partnership with health systems. Vic's background involves over twenty years of investment and merchant banking experience, particularly in the healthcare services and health system markets.  He also has a long background advising and financing growth-oriented healthcare companies.  Mr. Schmerbeck earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance and Real Estate from Southern Methodist University.  He has served on several private company boards of directors and is involved with numerous charitable endeavors involving healthcare and at-risk children.

Mr. Golik has more than 17 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with the past 12 years focused exclusively on healthcare. He has been responsible for the development and financing of acute care and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and medical office buildings. In addition to his role at Carter Validus, Mr. Golik has led a variety of efforts in healthcare such as acquisitions, development, underwriting and investment at KDC and The Cirrus Group. To date he has completed projects in excess of $300 million. He started his career at Archon Group a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.

Builder-Leader with a broad background of commercial construction experience, skill sets and vision, who has developed long-standing relationships throughout 30 years in the industry. Passion for solving problems within budget and cost constraints while achieving quality goals. Numerous examples of leading and participating in teams that have caused projects to move forward, that had previously been held up due to cost issues. Well-rounded experience and knowledge provides a solid basis for leadership and guidance to staff and project teams. Strong work ethic, with energy and knowledge to help lead teams and projects to success.

Brett S. McClung, FACHE, was named executive vice president and North Zone operations leader in May 2013. He previously was president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth for six years. McClung also served as president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle for two years and vice president for ambulatory, support services and business development at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. He has been associated with Harris Methodist hospitals and Texas Health Resources in various roles since 1993. McClung serves the community and the health care industry in a variety of volunteer roles, including: Healthy Tarrant County Collaboration (chair), Trinity University Healthcare Alumni Board (president), Dallas/Fort Worth Hospital Council (board member), faculty and moderator for American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Tarrant County American Heart Association (leadership team member), Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce (board member) and Downtown Fort Worth Rotary (member). In addition to his service to the community, McClung's honors include the 2006 Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council Young Executive of the Year, the Early Careerist Healthcare Executive Award from ACHE, the International Leadership Fellow from the German Marshall Fund of the United States, and "40 Business Leaders under 40" recognition from the Fort Worth Business Press. He is a member of the Texas Hospital Association HOSPAC Board and was named to the Vision North Texas Health Team, as well as to the inaugural class of Leadership North Texas. McClung earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Southwestern University in Georgetown and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

Jonathan Bykowski, AIA, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Principal & Practice Leader, Continuous Improvement Jonathan has dedicated his career to not only transforming healthcare systems for clients but also their facilities’ design. As a Principal and Lean facilitator, Jonathan infuses process improvement into each step of the process. His passion for problem-solving drives him to challenge traditional solutions and approaches. He tailors the project approach for each client to understand their organization and develop improvements to support and enhance them. Jonathan is most excited about developing new tools to help engage stakeholders, drive consensus and increase value for capital projects.

With over 16 years of construction industry expertise, Sean Ashcroft is a Project Executive at DPR Construction, one of the country’s top technical builders and #6 ranked healthcare contractor in the U.S. (ENR 2016). In his role, Sean delivers projects successfully by combining strategy, direction and highly motivated leadership with experience, organization, passion and dedication. He oversees healthcare projects and guides ongoing preconstruction process and strategic client partnerships. Sean has led the healthcare initiatives for clients like HCA, McKesson Specialty Health, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Cook’s Children’s. Sean holds a B.S. in Building Construction Management from Michigan State University.
