Moderne Ventures Raises $33M In Seed Money For CRE Tech Investment

Moderne Ventures closed a $33M venture fund to invest in Stage B tech firms in the home services, insurance finance and real estate industries, Chicago Business Journal reports.

Moderne Ventures was founded two years ago by Constance Freedman, who previously ran Second Century Ventures, the investment arm of the National Association of Realtors. Investments range from $200K to $3M and Moderne Ventures also offers startups it invests in access to Moderne Network, a group of 400 CRE industry leaders who offer advice and provide business opportunities, and the company runs a seven-month long tech accelerator, Moderne Passport Program.

Some of the startups funded by Moderne Ventures include Better Mortgage, Zaarly, Bento for Business, GrowthGeeks and Arcbazar.
