This Uptown TOD Proposal Features No Parking

The Wilson Avenue "L" station renovation is the catalyst for growing interest in building TODs in Uptown, and the pipeline is filling quickly with planned projects. The latest proposal comes from Quest Realty, which wants to build 33 units on a lot near the station that's been vacant for over 40 years.

The proposal also calls for five ground-level retail bays, a rooftop deck and, most notably, no parking, according to Curbed. The lot at 4420-4444 North Sheridan Road is a short walk from the Wilson "L." Under the terms of Chicago's TOD Ordinance, one of the units will be set aside for affordable housing and Quest will finance another two units nearby.

The Quest proposal joins another announced in June by MX3 Architects, which wants to build a nine-story building next to the Wilson station at Wilson and Broadway. [Curbed]
