Logan Square has become one of the most competitive multifamily markets in Chicago and one development hopes its rooftop deck will make it an attractive selling point to prospective renters. L, an L-themed (yes, after the letter) apartment tower at 2211 N Milwaukee, will have a retired CTA "L" car serving as a rooftop lounge when it's delivered in May.

The car was hoisted to the rooftop last week, according to Chicagoist. Luxury Living Chicago managing broker Aaron Galvin, whose firm is leasing the building, says rents for the 120-unit project start at $1,600/month for one-bedroom convertibles and $2,500/month for two-bedroom units. The building will be loaded with amenities, including keyless entry, community lounges, a dog run, a bike kitchen and a complimentary yogurt bar with rotating monthly flavors. The L rooftop lounge will sit surrounded in a small pool of water. [Chicagoist]
