Twin South Loop Multifamily Towers Approved by Plan Committee

Placeholder

The Chicago Plan Commission granted a subsidiary of Crescent Heights permission to build twin multifamily towers in the South Loop. When completed, these would be the tallest buildings south of Van Buren in Chicago.

The first phase of what will be called 1200 S Indiana will be a 76-story, 829-foot-tall rental tower at 113 E Roosevelt Rd. It was designed by noted architect Rafael Viñoly and would contain 792 apartments. The second phase of the project would house 692 condos. The third phase proposal would feature 100 units and open park land along Indiana Avenue.

Crescent Heights bought the three-acre site through its subsidiary, S Loop Development, in 2012. This would be the company's first ground-up development in Chicago.
