BJB Partners Wants to Squeeze a 41-Story High-Rise on a Tennis Court-Sized Lot

BJB Partners wants to build a 41-story hotel and residential tower steps from Millennium Park on a lot that's smaller than a tennis court. So what will eventually be built there, pending approval, will need to be very thin. The tiny lot is at Randolph Street and Michigan Avenue, one of Chicago's busiest hotel markets. The Chicago Athletic Association Hotel at 12 S Michigan is one of the city's red hot, trendy hotels. The restored Chicago Motor Club Building at 68 E Wacker is now a Hampton Inn. Apple is moving its Michigan Avenue flagship store to 410 N Michigan Ave. BJB already owns and manages the Millennium Park Plaza apartments, a 40-story multifamily tower at 151 N Michigan. [Crain's]
