McCaffery Interests' redevelopment of the Children's Memorial Hospital site in Lincoln Park is moving forward and two landmark buildings are caught in the wake. The Nellie Black and Martha Wilson Pavilions have future dates with the wrecking ball, according to DNAInfo.

This news will sadden preservationists hoping McCaffery would reposition the buildings for new use as part of its $50M redevelopment of the site. The two pavilions were listed on Preservation Chicago's 2016 list of endangered buildings, based on their architectural significance.

Crews are doing cleanup inside the Nellie Black building, while the Martha Wilson pavilion is surrounded by scaffolding. Harrison Street Real Estate Capital plans to build senior housing on the Nellie Black site. [DNA]
