Our Chicago reporter wasn't the only person in local real estate climbing high-rise stairwells for charity recently. Fifty associates at Waterton, including CEO David Schwartz, participated in the 2016 Fight for Air Climb at Presidential Towers. The event is Chicago's largest stair climb, with 2,340 stairs across the four towers. The climb attracted 2,000 participants including actor Tim Daly, elite stair climbers from around the world, and police and firefighters who scaled the stairwells wearing 70 pounds of gear in the firefighter's challenge.

Snapped: Waterton CEO David Schwartz shows no sign of fatigue as he makes his way up one of Presidential Towers' stairwells. Waterton was a sponsor of the event, which raised a record $515k for the American Lung Association in Greater Chicago. Since the inaugural climb in 2009, over $3M has been raised. This year's climb took place a year after Presidential Towers became the largest apartment complex in Chicago to go smoke-free.
