Top 100: What's Next Realty
When Andy Hochberg and his father Larry sold SportMart to Sports Authority back in 1998, people kept asking him what was next. His answer? Next Realty. And after that? Next Parking.

His immediate plans include deals with the $30 million fund he's raised for 2010. Based in Northbrook, the strip center owner has grown to 35 employees in Chicago and DC over 11 years, and has mid-sized retail and parking structures throughout the country. It hasn't bought any centers in the last few years, but Andy says he's glad they haven't developed any either.

Here's Andy with Next Realty's trademarked Burtle, the half-bunny, half-turtle that represents the swiftness of the hare and the determination of the tortoise and is popular swag at ICSC events. Andy's a bit of a hybrid himself, getting involved in most of the deals as well as managing the office. Otherwise, he's raising money for the Jewish United Fund, serving on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, or getting involved with political campaigns.
