Stan Johnson Expands to Chicago
From the Wild West to the Midwest: Stan Johnson Co. is growing its net lease investment brokerage to include the Windy City. We met up with former Marcus & Millichap broker Brandon Duff and former IBT Group developer Brad Feller, the first SJC staffers at the company's new office at 111 E. Wacker. Finally, pioneers heading east for once. Call 'em Garfunkel to Lewis and Clark.

Brandon and Brad are buds from their U. of Michigan days, and both saw the move to the Tulsa-based company as a great chance for advancement. SJC plans to expand to the  East and West coasts as well, adding to its 35 brokers in Tulsa, Houston, and Oklahoma City offices, Brandon says. Endgame: to be among the largest net lease brokers in the country. Recently, it sold two suburban Walgreens for $4M each to institutional buyers. They're also listing ground leases on a CVS  and  PNC Bank in north suburban Antioch.

With Brad's development  experience and Brandon's contacts, the team is gearing up for a fast start here. Brandon says a recent flight to quality will draw business to their listings from institutional investors, REITs, and exchanges. And support from its existing offices, which have already made a name in the Western market, certainly can't hurt.
