| The Real Estate Investment Association gathered to kick off the holiday season at English in River North, where we snapped First Midwest's Ralph Cernek, Clark Street Capital's Jon Winick, and Aries Capital's Jeff Bucaro and Scott Buecheler. Jeff is closing on the financing of a $45M CBD office building next week (unfortunately he can't tell us where yet). Jon made a $20.5M loan for a performing net-lease portfolio across three Midwestern states and is hoping to build on those relationships in the coming year. | |

| Christian Bale will have to look for the bat signal from somewhere else because Pappageorge Haymes' Jeff Renterghem, here with Rachel White, is redesigning the 39th story penthouse at Hotel 71 that served as Bruce Wayne's apartment in the latest Batman flick. Most of the rooms in the hotel will be restored and modernized in the renovation, which started construction last month. |
